The syntax for zig is even shittier than rust
About the waste of resources, I found the article “C Is Not a Low-level Language” a great read about this topic. We need better tools/languages that allow us to use the new hardware architectures. The new System-on-a-Chip (SoC) are not giving us a substantial increase in performance. Instead we got: performance cores, efficient cores, GPUs, neural engines, audio/video dedicated units, etc. I always think about our brains, well all kind of brains. They are so efficient, take insect brains. Those brains are so tiny and use so little power and still can do a lot of things.
great presentation! thank you for sharing your thoughts
30:27 , I can call it "Go mentioned"
Cool presentation! ❤
WHy does that rude guy keep on interrupting the talk?
Ergonomics == Verbosity. 😂😂😂
Zig is a joke. 😂😂😂
Is there info about when/where utahzig meets?
was part 1 (done in January) recorded as well?
One of the most top-class talks I've ever seen. Thank you!
Super cool that you recorded and shared the stream! Much appreciated!
Nice work. That's a cool project.
enjoyed the talk thoroughly. what a great fun game project!
hey i love these Zig livestreams! appreciate it a lot you uploaded for us to learn from. Up the Ziggies! (from Iron Maiden reference)
I feel you on the oppulent waste in the cloud. I don't even want to write down my experiences in public 😅 Good video. I have a lot of faith in Zig because I believe the technical vision is correct and necessary. If Zig doesn't succeed, some very similar language will. I'm starting to feel more and more comfortable interesting in Zig. I have faith in the community, too, a decentralized community is probably good, but that is an interesting topic to dig into. Gentoo was my first distro btw 😅😅😅
Thanks for putting these online 🙏
Promo`SM 😊
Really good understanding of the Zig language. Recommended for anyone who wants to exploit the possibilities of Zig.
