Expedition in the Smokey Mountains
June 16 - 19.
31.5 miles, 6900 ft elevation gain
Day 1 - Lakeshore Trail to Forney Creek. Fished the many great spots on the creek with no luck. Overnight at campsite #71.
Day 2 - Springhouse Branch to Forney Ridge. SERIOUS ELEVATION GAIN! Rested at Andrew’s Bald. Continued on to Clingman’s Dome where we were caught in a downpour. Returned to Forney Creek and camped at #68 Steel Trap.
Day 3 - Forney Creek to 68 #74. Fished the whole way and only caught three.

The Drive of My Life in a Ferrari 488 GTB

On 6/23/24 I got to fulfill a lifelong dream and drive a Ferrari. It was a 488 GTB with a twin-turbocharged V-8, 660 HP, and a 0-to-60 time of 3.0 sec. The drive took place on the track at M1 Concourse outside of Detroit, MI. I booked the drive through Xtreme Xperiences and couldn't be happier with the experience.

Wondering which campsite you were staying at on Slate Lake? Looks pretty decent and I don’t see Any campsites on that lake with good reviews. From what I can see Of that site I’d give it 4 stars

What water filter system was the blue bag? Was it plastic or woven? Did it filter quickly
I can't believe you didn't film portaging down the rock wall at the beginning of silver falls portage. Is that where he hurt his knee? I have been there many times. I dont know where Slate is. We continue north west to Deadman portage. There is one dangerous always wet sloping rock on that portage
Yeah he fell right at the beginning. Lost his balance. Slate was a very good fishing like, lots of everything, warm and small

Nice job capturing the lakes! Hamilton was so beautiful, but pretty crowded when I went. Looks like you had it all to yourself!
Why in the world would you CARRY your canoe across portages, that is by FAR the most difficult way, as well as being extremely dangerous as your vision is bad and you cannot always synchronize your steps, and is hard on back and arms. It is asking for a fall and injury. There are portage pads for a reason. smh
mgraber1 the canoes come with them and we carried them over head on easy portages so there wasn’t really a need for them.
mgraber1 some guys also had bad knees so we shared the load.
