Our response to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, bringing our voices together in isolation to bring a message of love and hope to the world. My choir used to sing this African trad. in Arctic Norway in 1992. Our conductor came up with this song. Where he got the text from, I don't know, but "South Africa" was not mentioned in the text. Otherwise, I recognize much of the text. Fun song to sing, and very rythmic.

I do like that you didn't use that long, extra long introduction. However, give credit to the maestro whom created that... I wouldn't change anything about the introduction even though I want to jump right into the lyrics. Quite unique... I do like the sopranos howling like the winds of winter...as you perform it. The only time we see that is with Gringoire and the song Lune, in Le Bossu de Notre Dame (Hunchback of Notre Dame), but that is a different effect and sound or similar. Hats off to you! This is now a unique performance by you which is what most look for when others perform a song. And when you make it unique, you also create your own voice, and you did great. When you create your own unique voice with a song, it has commercial and retail value. It is special and should be recorded and sold as a single in your region or everywhere for Christmas. Find a recording studio. You are ready to record even as a choir.
Somewhere In My Memory, Rent the Musical (somehow less so, not sure why?) and The Lion King songs have turned into a writer author composer's worst nightmare, a vraie couchemare (yes, well use French Idiomatic expressions or Spanish in my region for emphasis, the midwest which includes Greek and Hebrew idiomatic expressions too) due to over play be it the radio or TV and often it's TV in Florida. Yes songs for authors can turn into terror and being haunted like a Christmas Carol. It's not you, its rather the overplay. The song is enchanting and the flattery always welcomed along with the notice, the vis a vis, and talent showcase is always welcomed. Thanks for using technology and engineering, math and S must mean songs 😅🤣😂🙃😉😜. It's part of STEM isn't it: Songs, Tempo, Enchantment, Metronome and Songs.
