That part made no sense to me. From what I saw in another image, there is a current flowing through the channels which causes the electron to accelerate and collide with other atoms and knock off their electrons in a process called "electron avalanche". I don't fully understand it, but it sounds like fission but with electrons instead of nuclei.

@Tattlebot would 8 degrees increase the amount of bouncing therefore the multiplication of photons therefore meaning a brighter image? also would the concentration of channels increase resolution? also where did you learn this, I'm interested in manufacturing image intensifier tubes. although the tech for it might be extremely expensive to which I wouldn't be surprised.

Is or isn't the PD-PRO-16B magnesium version 370g or not? Your USA website just fixed the weight to <450g from the previous erroneous number of 12oz. Is there a version that is yet lighter than the aluminium or magnesium ones?
How does this compare to L3 Unfilmed White Phosphorus?
Check FalconClaws's channel. They compared different tubes recently. But I think it was Harder, Elbit and Photonis.

what generation are photonis tubes
They are considered 2+. They use gen2 technology as far as the basic design, but are really incomparable to original gen2 tubes.
The “Gen” argument really means little in 2022. Gen 2 was developed in the 70’s gen 3 in the 80-90s. These systems don’t compare in SNR and resolution. Current production WP tubes from Photonis are simply amazing in performance and value.
