For the past decade and a half, Michael has been one of the most successful songwriter/producers in contemporary jazz. With over 40 CD's to his credit, his signature sound has produced over 60 top 25 Contemporary Jazz hits (including 35 top 5's and 22 #1's), 5 billboard top 10's for sales, and a 2007 Grammy for legendary guitarist George Benson, winning best pop instrumental.
A prolific pianist, Michael's 2023 release of his album Never too Late featured 3 Billboard #1 singles, "The Way She Moves," "Let it Breathe" which spent 4 weeks at #1, and Talk to Me, plus Summer In Blue, which peaked at #2. His latest single, Happy Hour, released on August 23rd on his new label B-Hive Records.

I used my ear and some sheet music from a music store to figure this out (with nowhere near the accomplishment you have achieved), counting score lines (All good boys do fine, and good boys do fine always) and could not get your achievement. Hi, what file types are compatible with Cakewalk? I have a many that I want to work with but can't. Thanks.
Hi Mark. Thanks for the question. As far as complete files (where all the audio, track and plugin settings are included), I think cakewalk only handles it's own files ... unfortunately. That would be a Cakewalk bundle file. Otherwise, if your importing just audio files, I'm pretty sure it will handle all of them ... although I've had mixed results with aiff. Wav and Mp3 should be no problem. Make sure you have the app set up to run as an administrator, otherwise you wont be able to drag and drop. Hope this helps!

@@markstanton6779 Hmmm. That's strange. If you're running as an administrator it shouldn't be a problem to drag and drop. The work-around is to click on an empty audio track, go to file, then import/audio, and navigate to the MP3's. If that doesn't work then there's an issue with MP3 compatibility.

Meh...it kind of works, but the timing on the tracks are way off & I can't get them... synced up? It's bad...& I thought Audacity was bad for that when I tried it. Wow. All the tracks start at exactly the same time on the SD card recording & is "in sync" because we recorded it "live" with a few overdubs. But import it to cakewalk, everything is so far out of sync with each other & it's near impossible to get them right. I should just go back to tape recording. As far as digital technology has come & so many people record digital now yet nobody can fix that problem???
Hmmm. I would need to know more before being able to help. What DAW was used to record the tracks, or were they recorded analog? Are you importing onto a blank canvas or is the sync issues with tracks already in Cakewalk? Did you import them one at a time and was the snap button engaged and set to whole note? I could think of more potential issues but not sure where to start. Sorry your having problems I know it can be frustrating.
