Happy Trails!
Wish I could be there too!
Wish I could be there!
I have listened to Sons of the Pioneers music since I was just a few months old (1957); it was the first music that made its way into my infant ears. My tastes in music have been fine tuned and are eclectic; I seek out the best artists, composers, in every genre, but it was the original Sons of the Pioneers that first instilled the love of the best music in me. I thank you gentlemen for continuing the legacy! Much respect to you all; may you keep on keepin' on! 🤗😇
Old COUNTRY!
I wish I could come see you but, sadly I live on the other side of the world... the Sons of the Pioneers have always sounded fantastic! :)
May God bless ya'll, and you're upcoming gigs. I think you guys are great! From Commander Rick, Operation Cowboy, in The White Mountains Of New Hampshire, happy trails to you!

How does it feel for this to be put in a video game some of y'all's grandkids play. ... Fallout gave a love for older music it has so much soul that the newer stuff just doesn't have
Bring's a smile to my face and a tear to my eye nothing better!
I never heard of the pocket editions before! I am just one shy of the full folio collection myself (the only one I don't have is No. 1), though my Tim Spencer folios are missing a few pages.
Love this group
My all time favorite song!
It’s a great one. We made a video about the man who wrote it and how it came to be written, if you’re interested: m.czcams.com/video/dhyHRTL7Sss/video.html

Are there any good biographies about this band?
The Tumbleweed Trail Project website (www.tumbleweedtrail.net) has a lot of great historical information about the band as part of the biographies of its founding members Len Slye (Roy Rogers), Bob Nolan, and Tim Spencer. The excellent en Griffis biography “Hear My Song” is out of print and a little out of date, but we’re working on a new edition that should be out sometime this year.
@@sonsofthepioneers1934 thank you so much
Wow that's a lightweight criminal how they did bob thanks for the history lesson this was my grandparents favorite song
So glad I found this channel. I am 79 and first saw the Pioneers live in the 1950's in Murray city park in the 1950's. I was thrilled! I next saw them in Seattle in the late 70's. I had both albums and cassettes that I literally wore out. Thanks for keeping up the group.
You should come west, to Tulsa or Oklahoma City!
Wish I could catch one if these tumbling tumbleweeds & hitch a ride way out there to Ohio &see you guys in concert again & again, I never get tired of our Western heritage music!
Thank you. We never get tired of playing it!
Come to Baton Rouge. ❤️ you guys.
We'd love to make it the Baton Rouge one of these days.
I'd pay $165 just to have Ken Curtis singing that track for me.
Hey, I'm thinkin' that you already know that there are still those Roy Rogers restaurants there in Frederick, MD. (I was in the Army, stationed at Fort Ritchie, just north of there, back in the '70s and '80s.) Hope y'all have a wonderful time there!! 😊
Love the red shirt John! And you DO know what you are doing 😂
(Yeah, actually he does :) )
Ya know........ we could use some Pioneers in Massachusetts. LOL You guys sounded great, don't need no 2nd take!!!
Now, THAT was a FUN video, and inspiringly informative! Thanks!
Loved these singers from the first time I heard them till now. They sang with some of best cowboy singers
Thank you!!! Wonderful video ❤️! Thank you for your beautiful video! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
You're very welcome!
Wonderful!!! Very nice!!! Thank you ❤️ 😊 💓
Our pleasure!
Wow!! I just found out here that the Sons of the Pioneers are still going!! Forty years ago I saw them play at Knott's Berry Farm in southern California and fell in love with their sound, and have really liked their music ever since! This current incarnation has a slightly different sound from the earlier groups, but are still wonderful performers who not only know their music backwards and forwards, bur carry on an excellent tradition of music from the American West. Thank you!
Thank you for supporting us through the years. We consider it a privilege to be carrying on the tradition.
In top form, as always!! ❤❤❤❤❤ (a heart for each of ya!)
Love Western rapp.
This was ear rape
Hi Paul. I'm just researching this song for our band. We're playing at a Winnipeg 150 year birthday party later this month and we're looking for tunes appropriate for the occasion. Surprising to find that Bob Nolan was born in Winnipeg, Canada and spent his early years in Winnipeg and Hatfield Point, New Brunswick. Thanks for this interesting history. Love the tune and the band.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Seems like that would be a very fitting song for that celebration given that Bob's from there. Sounds like that will be a fun event to play, too. If you're interested in more of Bob's history, including as much as I think is known about his early years in Canada, are you aware of the Tumbleweed Trail Project website? (www.tumbleweedtrail.net/) A few decades ago a Canadian named Elizabeth McDonald began researching Bob's music and his life. She did fantastic research, using primary sources--public records, private archives, and people. She eventually started also researching the musicians that were connected to Bob. She had met Bob's grandson Calin during her research, and they wound up building a website to share the information. Calin passed away a few years ago and eventually Elizabeth decided she couldn't keep up the website and shut it down. She very generously gave all of the content of the site--an amazing collection of research, recorded interviews, sheet music, and more--to the Sons of the Pioneers. We built the site to make that information available again. There's a lot up there and we're slowly adding to it as time permits. Have fun at the Winnipeg 150 show. Thanks, Paul
Amen god that cross is like the one the corries song Lochnigar
Nice hymn perfromace! I'm glad i discovered you from an old 78rpm record i found at various thrift stores.

@@sonsofthepioneers1934 HAPPY CHRISTMAS & MERRY NEW YEAR!
Thank you for sharing this video with us. I was raised on Country Music from way back, just a Button I was. My Daddy was a big fan of the Sons of The Pioneers. Bob Nolan was one of his favorites, no slight intended. Ken Curtis and Roy Rogers were liked by him too. Well, Daddys gone on home now to be with the Lord. Bob Wells and his Texas Playboys were very popular with Daddy also. Great singing beautiful songs such as the one we just heard. Again, thanks.
You don't need to apologize for loving Bob Nolan around here :).
