You can say Keter but really even higher. The energy of chassidut is within and above the mind and heart. The fact that is it can come into the mind and heart which is the chiddush. It can also be that today a person can see divine providence and not only thru books and scholastic means merit the light of the Baal shem tov

I appreciate his honesty and clarity, though it is misguided. The Baal Shem Tov’s method in its purest form was applicable only before the revelation of Chassidus Chabad. Once Chassidus Chabad was revealed, it became the truest conduit of תורת הבעש״ט. This is becoming more and more apparent as Chassidus Chabad becomes studied in a mainstream way in pretty much every circle, while Chabad has never had a need to explore different avenues for its philosophy. As the Alter Rebbe said himself: והיא היא תורת הבעש״ט
