This product is like iberogast that I used before. Iberogast helped with temporary relief of symptoms. I discovered that my problem was candida overgrowth in my gut after the doctor gave me more antibiotics than I needed at that time. Thank God I'm fine after treating candida with apple cider vinegar by drinking it with warm water day and night for three days.

The problem with this video is it puts up too many barriers. Yes its good to use unpasteurised milk but i make really great kefir from store bought full fat milk. Yes you CAN make kefir from uht milk, it makes perfectly good kefir, if that thin tasteless stuff called almond milk can make kefir then there is nothing wrong with using uht milk. Many places dont have access to fresh milk, so uht is the only choice. Never ever wash your grains with water distilled or otherwise. To rest your grains put them into freshmilk and store the jar in the fridge, leave the lid loose to let gas escape. Replace the milk every 3 to 4 weeks. You cannot grow grains from powder starter which produces a product with only 6 or so bacteria strains, so isnt anymore beneficial than a good live yoghurt. You need actual grains for the best kefir. There are far better instructional vids out there than this one, dont be put off by this one which makes it sound like hard work

Y can't I make my own grains

Curious.... metal/intimidation factor for first try people (fyi make kombucha, my own sour krout, & both types of kefir, love them, so simple! am finally able to share grains/skobys now too) my question is regarding metal, anyone actually have scientific test results for people to see? Because there seems to be a belief possibly from no more than a rumor that metal is absolutely deadly horrible. Now I've used a metal strainer plus they've fallen in my metal sink and yet they are still alive lol (although I do use a plastic or metal spoon in the actual milk and glass jar cause I like to see the "paint dry" cause after time air bubbles form and the dried fruit starts floating as it's sugars are used up in my water kefir. Even though I cover my coconut kefir with a coffee filter &rubber band, it becomes fizzy again when I mix it up & strain it through a filter

My grandkids are 10 and 8 years-old, can them.eat kefir? They always have stomach bugs..I think this is not good..so kefir can help them on this matter?

I had 2 cups of kefir in a mason jar in my fridge for two years. I never knew to burp it and it never exploded; and even when I opened it when I found raw milk, the smell was not changed much. So I strained and drank that pleasant kefir milk and gave it new raw creamy milk and the grains started coming back to life with the first feeding and I am still using them, years later. This story repeated itself in those years when another move challenged me to find raw milk and I had the same experience. So I know kefir grains are hardy and you can't really kill them as long as you store them properly. Even tho, most no one would say two years in milk would be proper storage, but it proved true to me, twice. I kept that first jar in the back of my fridge and the second jar was on the bottom shelf of the door. (That kefir was the best tasting kefer I have ever had.) Could this be like aging cheese?

What are those grain from that is the question no body know, yes they feed on milk but unlike yogurk you can not make them milk so where do those grains come from, l know how they multiply but how they begin, can you tell me? It amaze me that no body want to answer this question??

In the US, organic milk is ultra ultra pasteurized, so has not value for making kefir.

Wrong information, ladies! You can absolutely produce kefir with what you call long-life milk (aka UHT milk). Some people actually say that it turns out better than with any other milk.
