A Quick Guide to High Pass Sharpening in Photoshop
High Pass sharpening using the High Pass Filter is really a legacy technique now that we have Smart Sharpen. So why am I creating this video? Well, it's way of showing you what the High Pass Filter is all about. And it's also an effective way of showing how the contrast blend modes make 50% grey transparent. I demonstrate how high pass sharpening can be used to increase clarity to make a gritty painterly effect.

    The one thing that not apparently clear with the Flipside Trek series is exactly how much capacity each bag has in liters. LowePro doesn't even list it. The best I can tell it is: 250 = 10L, 350 = 16L, 450 = 21L. I just purchased the 450 and was surprised and how small it is compared to my Mindshift backlight 36L. Being as the 450 is the largest size available, I expected it to be a little bit bigger. Still, it's a great bag for a day hike or trip.

    Correct. You can’t challenge th pixel grid. However, I wouldnlike to discuss bit rate and dithering. I have been finding myself ar odds with these

    • @LaurenceBakerAdobe
      @LaurenceBakerAdobe Před 2 lety

      When you put it all together bit depth, resolution, and even subpixels. It does fry your head a little bit. But I always have the pixel grid in my mind. Because I design websites as well, PPI for screens is very important. I think Adobe has got a lot to answer for. They confuse the issue especially when it comes to exporting images by making PPI the screen images relevant, it's not.
