How nostalgic.. I remember opening this game again 3 years ago and my ears dying because of a sound bug

Watching this today, STILL gives me chills . I have seen this countless times, I NEVER skipped the Intro . Still gives me chills . If aynone wants to showcase to anyone what TW has lost over time, show them this intro . And make em compare it to the intros of newer Titles .
Growing up my dad would play this game a lot and I would literally just sit right next to him and watch him play, and everytime this intro would come we never skipped it. Now I’m 25 and I got it for myself it’s so good.

I’ve always loved the way that it presents the carthaginians and the parthians as the actual Villains here, with the barbarians having to be bailed out repeatedly and the Carthaginians basically going ‘deploy elephant’ when trouble arises.
I hate those Carthaginian elephant riders ! i'm also not a fan of pink pajama people. Luckily many mods tried for historical accuracy to varying degrees.

The intro for RTW 1 is way better than RTW 2. You really get excited by all the action.
+1 have to agree, Rome 2 is still lacklustre in many ways, it's like a bleached version of Rome 1. Do you think CA will remake the Med 2 intro if we get a Remaster ?

I spent about 3000 thousand hours in this game, the most of all total wars
No idea how many hours i played with the disks but the Steam version of Rome 1, Alexander and the Remaster should be close to 3k i think.
Gives me chills every time Hands down one of the best intros in PC gaming history!

I am German so I should Know Jesus Christ was Crucified by Pontius Pilate. And I respect all other Civs. Please respect this game. Except Romans since of course they copied the Greeks. Creative Assembly in UK owns the title to the PC Game franchise Total War PC gaming. Like all Total War Games Rome Total War was first to be created since 2001. God Bless. I may or may have not owned the Game since my Childhood. Lol. =)
