Texture Week Pt 2: Texture Paste & Stencils
Thanks for joining me for the second and final video of Texture Week here at Teentsy Vintage Studio!
This video features textured mixed media art on two heavy cardstock cards. I used texture paste and stencils to get a cool raised surface on the cardstock, then applied inks and paints to create beautiful, grungy color stories.

@@TheHalfassCrafter Many Thanks!! I have a couple places I get my ink pads from that I trust. I know when I have bought stamps from “certain places,” they seem to be older, and the quality isn’t there. I’m not sure if that’s what’s going on with your ink pads, but it could be a supplier issue?
@@teentsyvintage I just chalk it up to living in the high mountain desert, and lack of humidity. Even ones I get online don't seem as juicy as yours! Maybe I am the issue though 😂
@@TheHalfassCrafter You may be onto something with the elevation & lack of humidity. Perhaps if you stored them inside a container, they'd keep their moisture longer? Good luck!
Well this is weird...I am literally at my art table with supplies out to do a video and it's VERY SIMILAR to this! 😂 I am going to use gauze instead of drywall tape, but was gonna use Lindy's since you showed it in your last video! This series is fun! TFS! 💜

You’re funny, I really enjoy your content. I’ve used the drywall tape as my partner is in construction. He also gave me drywall mud (cheaper) which I use like a stencil texture paste (cheap, cheap). Fun with found objects!❤️🇨🇦
