Sometimes you have a document that does not have automatic styles. You can use Search and Replace to replace manual styles with automatic ones and then easily insert a table of contents.

In academic writing items such as research questions and objectives are often repeated throughout the document. The problem is that when one changes it is difficult to update it throughout the document. This is easily solved using cross-referencing and bookmarks. This video will show you how.

Here is a neat little trick that I learnt from my friend the late Prof Johan Knoetze. You put your literature in a table. Sort it there and then maimerge it into a document where you can do a final edit.
