Ribeyes, bone in go on sale here for $5.99/lb and I can tell the butcher to cut them thicker than an inch so I can actually cook them correctly on the BBQ. A one inch steak is good for fast in the cast iron pan then into the oven to finish for a few minutes but you don't get the fat render you do over coals. EDIT: Just read your response below. Thunder Bay Ontario here. Will check your other content for sure even if I disagree with you on this one 👍
@rockbutcher Eh. No problem. I actually got that slab at Costco in Edmonton. I used to eat 1 1/2 to 2" steaks. Can't do it anymore. It sounds like you know what you're doing though. Thanks for the feedback.... appreciate it. Even if you do disagree..... we can agree to disagree anytime!
@@ChromeDomeTeck I'm feeding 3 teenagers plus the Missus and I so we can agree that gets pricey! I like to wait until top sirloin goes on sale and then get them to just cut a big roast for me. Then I steak it when I get home. Big savings there. The other one to watch for is the "Pork rib roast" I've started seeing those over the last few years. It's the exact same cut as a prime rib roast but pennies on the dollar. Buy a bunch of them and either cook them whole or slab them into bone-in pork rib steaks. Tender as heck bud.

Kinda dumb when most of your heat comes from the front when you're moving. 🙄
@Richard-wp6xq It's kind of dumb to have heat from the front and the back, don't you think. Also, it helps with noise. Trying to mitigate heat transfer into the cab seems like a no-brainer. I also have the middle console completed in the same materials. Had it completed prior to video, so i had not included it.
What kind of tarp is that ?
It's actually for a dump trailer. Was much cheaper than a boat tarp. Also, it is way more durable, waterproof, and uv resistant.
Use a 15amp fuse instead of a jumper, just in case of an over voltage problem.
