Expand on health (Explain the Frame Episode 2)
In this episode of Explain the Frame, we’ll walk you through our research on how to paint a fuller, bigger picture of Health.
While people often think in more individualistic ways about health, we’ve found that people are capable of adopting more expansive ways of thinking. The framing choices we make can help people recognize how policies shape our surroundings and how our surroundings shape our health.

I love the idea of framing, and love the fact that you have produced short videos to explain key concepts. Unfortunately, I have a problem understanding how to apply the tips. For instance, when you say "Before you present any data give some context. One way to do this is to express a value like interdependence or human potential that you'd like people to have in mind when they hear your data." I do not understand what you mean by "interdependence" or "human potential." What do these terms mean in practice? How would I express interdependence when presenting data? I need examples to be able to understand these concepts. I find tips like these valuable to me only if I already know how to apply them. Of course if I know how to apply them, I do not need to to learn the tips. I find this is a problem with many short videos, which I also make. I think we have a tendency to try to put too much data (tips) in each video without taking the time to explain how to apply each tip. This results the videos having meaning mainly for people who already know how to apply the tips. I think it might be better to make videos with a single tip and some examples of how to apply that tip. I need to go back and look at my own short videos and see if there is a way that I can do this on my own Channel.

I retained 2 key message throughout these videos: 1/ People make policies; people can change policies. 2/ Change may be difficult but is possible through ongoing effort. Thank you for these videos!
