I'm surprised that the movie story is still credited to 'Robert Rich', which was a pseudonym used by Dalton Trumbo when he was blacklisted from the late 1940's to 60's. It actually won the Oscar for 'Best Story' in 1957, but Trumbo could of course not claim the prize. The truth was revealed 20 years later.

Excellent movie that depicts what is going on today. Here we are taken back to 1952 and yet the story and situations are the same 72 years later. This movie should be required viewing for all

Enjoyed the film immensely. However it always strikes me as unusual that they never close their curtains and blinds at night. Crawford (Lupo) gets shot in an assassination attempt yet his curtains are wide open as in daytime. Makes it so easy for the shooters. So many films are like this, especially film noirs.

I have seen swamp gas many times and even enhanced for movies, there is no way on Earth you could confuse it with a UFO. I have seen all types of birds flying in groups etc. , nobody would even consider reporting seeing birds because they have seen birds flying too. I have seen many different military flares, nope no way anything close to the way UFO moved. I have seen weather balloons in documentaries. They do not move anything like a UFO.

I have this movie on DVD. This was Hunter von Leer's last movie. He retired from acting in 2003 and went back to his native Indiana. He was so gorgeous 😍

The US Navy ship YW103 was a self propelled water barge (with no name given). Struck from the US Naval Register, date unknown, final Disposition and, fate unknown. Although it is mentioned in Navy records it became custodian of the PHILIPPINES date unknown. The closest YW designation I could find with any information was YW94 Placed in service in 1944, to see YW103 running around in a 1961 movie made in the Philippines makes me think this ship has a story to tell. It must have been in the Philippines during WWII. Thanks for uploading this movie.
