Whats your ipad model? Im looking to buy one for drawing and not sure where to start
@@unknownpanda8447 just a base model iPad 9! I was able to get one for 200 bucks a year ago and it’s done everything I need it to!!! it uses the first gen pen (which are way cheaper then the new pens) but I’ve really enjoyed this thing nonetheless!! I can use Captcut to edit videos if I don’t wanna use my computer and LOVE the size because I have small hands, haha It’s nothing too special but for a start in digital art i really like it. Maybe you could get an iPad 10 for a similar price but a bit newer?
Love these lil dudes, too! And I really enjoyed you talking about your iteration process and what you think about when going into sketching/painting an image! It reminds me of a convo an artist I enjoy brought up with concept art vs illustration, and you brought design into that conversation! <3 I wonder what an eye drop solution package would look like for the ram who got poked would look like! :3

Congrats on almost 1 year on CZcams!! I'm so happy I was able to discover you and your awesome art and video style! You've inspired me so much in my own art and art process, and I really appreciate how you talk about your process, past experience, and how you look at different ways to express your vision. I'd love to hear more about your iteration methods, things you learned while in school vs experimenting and exploring on your own, and (this may be super specific) but which palettes/textures/brushes you use for a painting like this. I got the Retro and Watercolor Maxpack after seeing you (and some other artists I admire that you've mentioned like Kasey Golden and JelArts!) talk about it and use it a lot, but there are *so many* brushes! For you, what do you look for in terms of texture and color application when choosing brushes? Or how does a planned "mood" for a piece go into picking brushes and colors that fit that mood? sorry for the long comment, omg.
@@ACozyPotato aaahhhh hahaha thank you so much for such a long response!!!! I really enjoy getting feedback like this from you guys so that I have more pertinent themes for future videos! I’ll try to make sure to touch on the brushes that I use the most in procreate the next week I post a procreate painting video and maybe even base the topic of the video off of your comment! (not this coming week but the following weeks vid 😊)

So cute! We have done lots of rescues and rehomes. The humane societies around us don't euthanize. Which is great and they do alot of adoptions and fostering. I'm so glad you work and love your job!
Also I understand working with animals and dogs. I love how you explain it and I love hearing you talk about them all.

Hi 👋 Just wanted to share that we have a rescue Staffordshire bull terrier- she's a resource hoarder because she wasn't fed properly as a puppy before we got her and we found that her aggression with other dogs (outside of the home because she has 5 pack mates 😀) anyway we found that giving her a toy or mainly slippers, she has accepted that item as "her gift" she doesn't shred them anymore 😂 but they are very precious to her and she will show them to us as her display of gratitude But also it has been an energy thing - ie. I don't trust you because I can tell you're anxious about my behaviour He is beautiful and I think healing is needed ❤️ I pray he works through it And congratulations for continuing to persevere to help him 👏 I worked at a rescue shelter and got " mouthed" a lot until I just stood my ground with calmness and told them no. I was raised with alsations who were... issue ridden. But they took to trust and boundaries All that being said THANK YOU FOR GIVING THE LOVE ❤️
setting boundaries with the mouthy dogs has been something I’ve definitely had to learn the hard way! thank you so much for sharing your story. the Doggos I am currently sponsoring is a staffy mix and he is LOVELY! I’ll probably have to doodle him up here soon because he is just my favorite thing in the world right now. dogs just bring so much joy it’s hard to see one like marshall be so isolated
@@Rorifluentas that unattributed quote goes " let us send them without wings so they not be known as angels" It's unfortunate but it is usually a human who has taught them fear. My mum had the problem that as a young mum she thought she had to "protect" the baby from the dog Long story short the staff ( colloquially known as the nanny dog) became terrified of my older brother as a toddler She never bit him and it was rectified when I came along and An remember her guarding my pram ( from the farm animals 😂) I think being raised like that it can be hard to surrender to nature But I hope Marshall recovers his lovely self with your help ❤
When I was young a dog with “those” problems was “sent to live on a farm” where they would get to live a good life running in fields chasing rabbits all day. Now that I’m a lot older I know what the adults really meant because 90% of the times theirs no fixing those problems and being left alive is not only a danger to people but the dogs themselves but these days everyone wants to “fix” everyone else no matter what the cost or how much time their wasting. I love your art as always though it’s very good.

oh marshall sounds like an interesting boy. resource guarding dogs are difficult at times. i hope its not a neurological issue with marshall being so aggressive. but it's definitely scary having such an aggressive dog, it feels like you can never ever trust them. my mum has a collie who is a few years old and i do not trust her at all. talking about mouthy dogs, i worked for a charity that trained dogs for visually impaired people and i'd volunteer in the kennels too for a few years. we once had a beautiful big german shepherd x retriever boy who just wanted your hand/arm/anything in his mouth. he was such a sweet boy. I keep editing the post, but i'd love it if you were to tell us more stories of your rescue dogs while you draw. i love dogs and i miss working with them so its comforting to hear about someone else working with dogs. 🥰
we are definitely keeping an eye out for neurological signs! years before me the rescue had a dog with a tumor growing and pressing on his brain, once removed he was able to function as a “normal” dog without the aggression and resource guarding. I so hope Marshall is able to come out of whatever this is a happy boy! your German shepherd mix sounds just like the more gentle mouthy dogs we’ve had haha! sometimes our particularly mouthy rescues get to be a little to excited with their teeth and even nip at your face! working with them to redirect that energy is all we can do sometimes haha awwwwwwww I’m so glad you enjoyed the story and video! I think I will continue to make a chatty video about the kennel every once in a while to keep my dog painting skills in practice! they are hard to get right!! next time it’ll be a more cheerful story though haha

You should definitely sell stickers, your work is so cute and would work great as stickers. It is nerve racking buying products to put in a store front, but I am sure your stuff will sell quickly!
