Lurrus is a card I never cared for too much even though it can be totally great.

gossipmage: im jace the gossipmage, a news reporter all about the fun of MAGIC, mind answering a few questions? me: i dont think you are speaking to me since i am watching a replay but sure, why not, im bored... gossipmage: how do you approach balancing synergy and raw power in your draft picks? me: first of all then i think a card needs to be able to work on its own. you never know when you are going to run into disruption, destruction or just dont draw pieces that fit together so having cards that work on their own is a must... synergy is like sprinkle on top -and who dont like sprinkle?! gossipmage: do you have a favorite planeswalker in the cube? me: well it kinda depend on what kind of cube we are talking about... if its a team draft then i like when my teammates have the best planeswalkers, 5 mana teferi comes to mind, but i dont mind 3 mana teferi either as they are both teferi's one just hit the board early. I dont like to play against lilliana since she just destroy any kind of fun you can have by either cleaning the board or disrupting your hand. The strongest planeswalker, hmmm... i think i would have to go with comet but i havent actually drafted that card enough times to know the mathematical chance of comet going crazy, i have just seen some crazy plays that turned unwinnable games into won games by playing this card alone... gossipmage: which banned cards from other formats, that are legal in vintage cube, are your favorites? me: hmmm, i dont know what cards are legal in most formats but i seem to change opinion alot and i dont mind that... part of the fun comes from trying out different cards, figuring out what other cards they have synergies with or how they work under circumstances where those synergies are being disrupted. I do like classical simple cards like vindicates "destroy target permanent" or counterspells "counter target spell" and i dont like cards that you have to play, wait for it to flip, put another card in graveyard, reanimate, wait till next upkeep, tap and then gain 7 life (imaginary combo) when you can just cast a two mana spell and gain 8life (rest for the weary)... gossipmage: what is the most obscure card you've seen win a game in a recent vintage cube? me: well, you can not see what is obscure then it is no longer obscure... not sure what you mean... a card that have supriced me? maybe just the fact that cards from the Unfinity set are being played when they are obvious made for less serious play... gossipmage: i'm gonna to start clipping these and editing them for tiktok clips... me: tiktok? isnt that just like youtube but where you cant search for the type of videos you want or something like that? i dunno, i tried it once... and then i tried the unistall... me again: sad that people are getting away with clipping other peoples lifes into fake stories... me last time: i think we are done here... ------------------------- also,... always nice to see a relaxed normal behavior human being doing some drafts... one of my favorite channels to watch drafts on... +1

Ponder is a second best blue card and not a first pick blue card? So seeing it and no great blue means someone close to your right is already blue if not right next to you. Good thing be nuff blue to go around ;)

Hey, it's hard to read the cards themselves so I can imagine people who are just getting into magic don't really have a clue what is going on. I don't know if you can increase the size of the cards in mtgo (I wouldn't be surprised you can't, mtgo was created in 1983 for all I know lol) but it would help viewer attention I think. Considering the draft itself, I would have taken some manlands. Match2 game 1 you had a moment where you had Fastbond, Stripmine and Demonic Tutor at 20 Life. Getting Crucible there just wins you the game imo even if it meant going to 13

Cmon man. You know Walk is the best card in any draft format it’s in. Ancestral is…4th? 3rd? best card.
