Enchanting Walking Tour of Lorca, Murcia Spain | Walking Through History
Join us on an enchanting walking tour in the beautiful town of Lorca in the Murcia region of Spain, an area which has been inhabited continuously since Neolithic times, 5,500 years ago. Located 58 kilometres southwest of the city of Murcia, Lorca has a rich and varied history and was the frontier city between Christian and Muslim Spain in the Middle Ages.
The city and its closeness to many mountain ranges and areas of great natural beauty make Lorca a really great place to visit. Marvel at the iconic historical sights such as the Plaza de España and the numerous buildings, parks and museums which are hundreds of years old.
We begin our walking tour in the historic old town, making our way through the narrow streets where we find quaint cafes and small shops on every corner. We experience the peaceful tranquility of "The Avenues", a green space in the middle of the city, before finally heading for Lorca castle to take in the stunning views over the city.

Nice video of the interior. Seeing all the potholes at the beginning reminded me of how when living in Salinas and using the smaller roads the noticable difference of the roads when leaving Alicante province on to Murcia, the roads were noticable in worse condition on the Murcian side.
