You may still see the option to switch back for a while, but I'm hearing that people are seeing that go away more and more. The new one works just fine, it's just a change that will take some getting used to.

@@YourTechCoach No it doesn't work just fine. All of the settings and brightness options are absolutely horrible. If I upload an imagine, it's automatically darkened and looks less vibrant. The old filters like "Festive" brought images to life and helped make thumbnails pop, the new filters look absolutely awful and I guarantee nobody with a successful channel would EVER touch any of them. Bring back the option for legacy editor with actual good features again half the junk on current canva doesn't even work properly like the AI and other apps. WASTE OF MONEY (no disrespect to you of course you seem very nice, just to canva as a (terrible) product)

I hear your frustionation - 100%! The best way to let Canva know about your issues would be to contact them directly thru their support channels, and to provide specific examples and details. Honestly, that type of feedback is SUPER important and can help future improvements! Also, there are tools and settings that can help right in Canva, but also yes, many filters and other shortcuts have gone away or been changed. There are a couple fo main reasons for that - the agreeement between Canva and the 3rd party company that provided the filter has expired, the company chose to removed it, the company got bought out/shut down, etc. With all of that said, if you find that Canva no longer meets your particular needs, there are other options out there! Heck, maybe I'll do a future show on that!👍

Yep, more and more mobile apps are having to make this decision because the app stores are demanding too big a cut. Sad, but at least there are options (like buying from via a browser).

That's what I thought but she said you can still order books direct from your kindle. She did say you can order by using a search engine as well and go into Amazon. However that does not work for me. I get debited but the book is not on my Kindle. They do refund you though if you tell them it didn't work. I'll just stick to ordering direct from from my kindle I think. I feel I have been robbed having bought a kindle but at least the You Tec lady has given me an answer.

You can use them, just not to make purchases. You can use the apps to read your content when you don't have your Kindle device handy.

I think you might be referring to the large print books?

So first, Google Books are not always PDFs - there are several different file formats used. And no, in general you cannot transfer books from one Google account to another.

If someone has published a PDF, or allows exporting to PDF, then you may be able to transfer it if they have giving you that permission level. Otherwise, in general you cannot transfer content from Google to Apple or vise versa.

Right, they dropped VPN from Google One, but it's still active for Google Fi users; and Pixel 7 and later phones have access to the optimized, built-in Virtual Private Network (VPN) by Google at no extra cost in countries where VPN is available.

Maybe. But maybe not. First, in general, you don't "buy the rights," you licence them. And even when you do that, you have to licence them for the platform you are using them on. For examp,e the service I use, Epicdemic Sound, licences royalty free music for places like Facebook, CZcams, Twitch, etc. But when you sign up, you have to register where you will be using the content. So, you'll want to check the fine print of whatever service you are using and make sure you have completed all the steps.

@YourTechCoach nah, this is pure corporate greed... I don't even DJ online, I playing the real world and this is just labels mad they haven't found a way to charge me extra and they know they can't charge more for the tracks themselves. They sell on places like beatport, they know what that track is for and they know that if they raised prices some other label/DJ will sell for less and they would make nothing. This is the literal definition of highway robbery.

​@@EDDSkitzSounds like you have found a service that is providing you with the non-mainstream music you like for a monthly fee, and that's great, since it does get some money back to the original copyright owners for your in-person performance. Of course, that's different than what Twitch is offering for online DJs, due to the different content and broadcast structure.

@YourTechCoach while I do pay for beatport streaming, I'm talking about when I buy a track. Beatport is exclusively for DJ's, working professional DJ's at that. Some of them make millions a year to play music and they aren't getting charged any extra. It used to be when you bought a record to play for a crowd, that was free advertising for the artist/label for regular people to buy their music and pay to see that producer play live, but since regular people refuse to buy music these days they are trying to take their cut from those of us who made them popular in the first place, and it's wrong.

FWIW, it was never ok to use someone's content without a license or explicit permission unless it is public domain. Copyright law doesn't include a provision for anything called "free advertising." People do it, but it's not ok.

I'm so sorry to hear you are having these isues! I would suggest that you reach out to Evernote support. You are supposed to be able to view and export your old notes, you just can't edit them unless you pay.

@@barbaraanderson4175 You can export (download) your notes still. I just tested and was able to make that work. Not great, but at least you'll still have your content!

It may have fizzled for you, but thankfully there is a thriving and lively online DJ community out there! And while Twitch may be included any legal actions taken, the main target is the creator using popular music without some kind of licensing agreement in place. The catch-22 is that it isn't possible for each creator to get a licensing agreement. That's what this plan takes the first step in addressing. Is it perfect, of course not, but things have to get started, and they will hopefully expand and improve over time. That said, if it doesn't work for you, that's fine. It's an opt-in program, and no one has to join.

It was really only big because of covid (everyone was stuck inside, clubs and festivals were closed). Now you can actually go see the DJ in person.....

Online DJs were around before that, and continue to be another easy way to enjoy DJ's works. Together, live on-site and live streaming provide great ways to enjoy the craft!

There are different types of licensing agreements required for different use cases, so you'd need to check to see if your DJ program covers broadcast and live streaming, and if they include Twitch in that. You'll want to test to see where the issue(s) are...it could be a lot of things, your internet connection, your computer, the way your stream is set up, etc.

No, it's really not built for that. You'll need a paid service like what you have, or maybe something like ExpressVPN .

You can try using a voice to text tool to transcribe for you, then you'll just need to listen to the recording to edit those results (they're never 100%). For example, my fav is Camtasia but another option would be to record the sessions using something like recorder.google.com/ which will also give you that transcription.

You have 2 options - you can remove collaborators until you get to 10 or fewer, or you can sign up for a paid account. In my testing, no, I have to use an external mic.

Update - it seems like some tools/platforms can use the camera mic but other don't, so it's a test and see kind of thing.
