Stinson Farms
United States
Registrace 31. 01. 2021
Stinson Farms is a small family farm in Western Kentucky. I farmed for many years with my dad, brother, grandpa and the rest of the family. Now it's just me and my wife, our 2 daughters and son-n-laws along with the grand babies. Wanted to share our life with family, friends and anyone who loves the simple life on a farm. It's hard work at times but it's what I know and love. We have goats, chickens, a dog and a cat. We raise corn, soybeans, hay and a few strawberries and vegetables in the garden. We love to hunt and spending time outdoors or in the shop. I hope you enjoy the videos. Come along with us while we enjoy life on a family farm.

Discing up corn to replant
zhlédnutí 850Před měsícem
Just too much rain. We got about a 30% stand on our no-till corn, so we are starting over. The ground is wet and sour so I'm running a disc through it to help get some air to it. Maybe we will have better luck on round 2!

Shelling Corn 2023 Part 3 We are Done!
Making it with what you got. Be surprised with a little work how good it can be. Straighten the Auger and replace as many bearings as you can and grease fittings and I think you will have a reliable machine that will do what you need it to do. Farmer been making do with what they have for ever. Hats off to you for bringing it back to life. Imagine if it could talk and all the feed it probably ground in it’s time. Everything mechanical can be fixed if you are willing to put the time sweat and money into it.
What brand and size of grain cart is that? I still run a 4420 as well and been looking for a cart short enough to use with combine. Thanks
@bbrady3421 it's an Unverferth 3500. It will hold around 350 bushel of corn.
I think you ought to ask Mr Joe if you could make his fields into one field over the winter
You got some good looking crops 💪🙏
Thanks! I am pleased with them. I think everything is looking good to be planted so late. Thanks for watching!
Good vid..good memories..we had a 3020..diesel..pwr shift..wide front..wonderful tractor..IH grinder quite similar to yours..also ground some hay...good protein n good fiber..plus energy from the corn..hard to beat..always liked adding a bag of dried molasses...thnx for posting
Mister Bill I have absolutely no experience with soybeans but as good as those look it will have to turn mighty dry to destroy them and I'll pulling for you
That looks real good Bill
that would be some project returning that woods to its former crop ground glory. nice work.
Thanks for the ride along. Cousin and I tilled up food plots today as well.
My name is Kyle Morgan. I work with Mike stinson, just wanted to say great videos.
@kylemorgan9003 Thanks Kyle. Just left Mike's house. Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for that video. You don’t see many people using tillers for food plots and I’ve always wondered why. Seems like the perfect food plot implement.👍🏼
@@LS-vs7bi I think tillers are great for food plots. Gets the ground in great shape and quicker. Thanks for watching!!
I think you need to go out to rent all and get yourself a Forrester muncher for a day and work around the creek a while
You will have to take us fishing with you
Of course I don't have a dog in that fight do I
Why're you bush hogging with a 6 foot when you have a eight foot pull type
My auger hit was at the end, so I could reach in and push it out. Have you looked into a combine graveyard. I have one off a 6600 in good shape. Would need painted. I don't think they are the same, though. Good luck and congratulations on retirement. 4 more years for me.
Congratulations Bill!!!!
i have a new tube for a 4400 central ohio if it would work for you. had it in storage for 30 years. bought it to fix a old 3300 and never used it.
Congratulations on your retirement I had to retire early due to a broken back God bless you
Congratulations on your retirement. Looking forward to more farming videos.
Congratulations on your retirement!
If ever there was a time to lengthen that auger now is it. An extra foot would make a big difference . Congratulations on your retirement.
The only thing I have trouble understanding is why you broadcast the fertilizer instead of using the fertilizer boxes on the planter and put it with the seeds
Where were u able to get spring teeth for your 640 instead of rubber
Thank you for sharing!
Hi Bill, I notice the new tractor really rocks around going through the field. Maybe letting a little air out of the tires would make it ride a little smoother? Thanks for the videos!
I love you sharing with your grandsons but I have some too and yours not relaxed when they're driving
Bill I am just a lazy old man but I think if I could stand on the ground and reach info the seed bag I'll be dogged if I'd climb up and down
That mower looks very handy!
Looks great Mr. Stinson yes beans look great also. Maybe a bearing let go sorry it broke down. Have a good day.
Man yeah Mr Bill, looks amazing!!😁😁👍🏻👍🏻
Same rig, same year I have, except my 3020 is a wide front with a 46 liader.
Bill Crops, looking good Yup, clean up. Spray, top dress and I believe you'd be doing excellent.
Good looking crops. I always learn something in your videos thanks
You've been doing a fine job young man and I would love to know what community you are located in if you would give us a hint I am a very nosey old man who spent a quite a bit of time around glasco
May God Bless You & Your Kids & Give You Good Crops For Evermore
Looks really good to me Mr Bill! You got some good help there. God bless.
I don't even think you should justify turning cedars into posts. Its how they used to do it before dimensional lumber and its cool to be self sustainable.
I used to do this, pretty fun work,i used the tandum disc,or the plows with the jaimy,in Texas, but now live in California.
Great looking crops Bill
Do a stand count. How many plants in 17.5 ft
Great video, always is, by the way, where do you get parts for old equipment that john deere don't make anymore?
Good video good to see you
My kind of planting rig. Love the straight pipe.
Looks like it put the seed in the ground to me. 🙂🇺🇲
There has been many a row of cotton and corn planted with the same kind of rig here in Mississippi. I still have my little M John Deere.
Enjoyed your video Mr. Stinson I've planted alot of acres with a 2 row JD planter have a great day.
Bill this was an awesome video of equipment from yester-year, I enjoyed it
We didn't get our tillage done until much later either, we also have a 4430, a '76 model and a John Deere BWF disk, sad that half of our stuff has already flooded out though.
It's been really wet here, so don't feel bad, we didn't get our stuff into later either
