Thanks. I have never done this before and have a couple of questions about this, sorry if they seem obvious. Would superglue be a reasonable alternative (what's the difference)? And does the glue not seep through the crack into the nail bed? Secondly, how do you know when and how to remove the glue again? Also, I saw someone on CZcams claim that this method is unsanitary due to using a teabag (something about the oils from the tealeaves causing fungi in the crack of the nail). Do you know if this is true? I've not seen anyone else say this. I'd be grateful if anyone could answer my questions, I just don't want to mess my nail up any more.

What did I just watch 😳

My thumbnail is damaged. I have what is called "Onychoschizia". The nail splits vertically before it has a chance to grow. That will never change. I am not as fortunate as many to have nice strong fingernails! All my nails get double layers and break easily, even though my diet is good. It runs in the family...I am going to try your idea, just to see if I can keep it at a normal length, as the split is close to the center, down to the cuticle. I tried a steri~strip and clear polish, which I never wear, but it still split. I had never heard of nail glue, so will try that, I have plenty of tea bags... Thank you for your informative video!
