Her son Mark (discussed in this interview) ended up as an internationally convicted criminal, including for funding a coup d'état in Equatorial Guinea. He was kicked out of Switzerland when his residency was questioned and he was then convicted in the USA for tax evasion. He is still barred from entering the USA. He was convicted in South Africa for his role in the Equatorial Guinea coup and was also investigated for loan shark activities. Given the changes Margaret Thatcher made in Britain, celebrating greed, it was said at the time that she was the link between her father, a frugal and devout Methodist Minister, and her son, an internationally convicted criminal.

God. Today, all we’d get is stupid gotcha questions and load of cliché and unsubstantiated waffle from vastly inferior politicians. Thatcher showed leadership, was in total command of her brief, knew her sharply focussed goals, was philosophically consistent, and was articulate and virtually word perfect. She had substance and a genuine belief in her mission.
