Harz Mountain Railway: A Steam Journey To Brocken
Our last stop on our big trip to Europe turned out to be our favorite part of the whole trip. Harz Mountain Railway in Germany! For our time in Germany, we were very impressed with what Harz had to offer. From the beautiful scenery surrounding the railway, to the multiple trains scheduled each and every day. The Harz Mountain Railway has many different routes to its railway system. The portion we were on was called "The Brocken". We started in Wernigerode and made our way up the mountain to Brocken. We had a phenomenal time capturing both trackside and onboard footage of the mighty Class 99 2-10-2T tank engines working hard up the mountain. The Harz Mountain Railway has definitely become one of our most favorite steam railways we have captured.
