I have back injury cannot walk need surgery ~ but in the meantime hair became horribly knoted, matted. Tried creme conditioner & leaving in ~ Nope ~ idk what to do ~ gonna purchase hooked knitting neede & pull out strands ~ apply conditioner & repeat.🙏

Any health care facility I have worked in would never allow staff to have hair get in such a mess. My personal choice was to keep my hair short so every day it was a quick hairwash whilst showering. Personal hygiene is hugely important when you are caring for vulnerable patients.

As a nurse, I say THANK YOU for your kind words and understanding!! The general public really have no clue what we go through daily, the things we see, and have to hold up under. To NOT go to pieces when you see an abused baby die, or to hold the hand of a cancer patient as they pass. To comfort a mom when she loses a child, or to dodge the punches of a mentally ill patient. We struggle with abuses from patients, their families AND from nursing administration. We see, hear and experience things that make most people cringe in fear and disgust, and yet we STILL HAVE to be ok to show up and do the job. THANK YOU! And yes, if you know or love a nurse, go give them a huge hug, and tell them that they are amazing.......

Poor girl to be in a state for her hair to wind up like that, but what a BLESSING for the stylist to help her. ❤

My hair got matted on the back side of my head here less than a month ago. It took me over 4 hours just trying to fish seemingly one hair at a time out of the ratted up mess

You should of tried a conditioner when detangling

So much for the hair being so easily damaged.... tight braids, hot irons, smothering the scalp with wigs are way worse for the hair.... saging is actually a native Indian ritual that draws spirits ....not good

"They're so busy putting other people's needs before their needs" Is so far and beyond the most GRACIOUS and warm-hearted thing you can say about nurses. People will say there are are bad nurses out there, and they're not wrong because nurses are human and as such not infallible, but the grand majority I've met would lay their life down to ensure their patients get the best care they can provide and they deserve to have that same love showered on them. Thank you for all you do.

I’ve done hair 30 years and I’ve never seen anything like that, dealing with some serious illness going on there, poor thing hopefully she’s over her problems Because you can remove that mess, but it’s the inside of the head that’s the concern by a longshot

I like seeing videos like this it’s satisfying to watch and the clients are always soooo happy. I do want to point out how drastically different the comments are when it’s a black person with extremely matted hair vs a non black person. An unfortunately Al the hateful comments I’ve seen when it’s a black person comes from other black people.

My mom would come over on a weekly basis to brush my hair, listen and help with the kids during my postpartum battle. There are not enough words to express my gratitude for her. My heart aches for people who don’t have this kind of support but if you made it through to the other side, just know you are stronger for it ❤
