Bad news. That cat, is likely already passed on, having used up its 9 lives. Think about it. It's clearly already a few years old in that picture, bare minimum. The Wii came out in like... 2006... and it's 2024 as of this video having been posted roughly. The longest lived cat I have ever witnessed personally, was one of our cats, and it lived nearly 19 years. If that cat is still purring, it only has a few years left, tops.

Went to the wayback machine to see if that foopets site was really turned to a 🌽 site, and you can see some archived stuff of the site throughout 2020 when all of a sudden a LOT of people were archiving it in November more than ever (So probably was breifly true which is hilarious), but none of them seem to work at all for some reason? then in December you can see one that works where it says noone owned the domain at that point already, wonder if someone tried messing with and scrubbing anything 🌽related to the site on there or something? Can you even do that?

I don't know why you focus so much on liminality when that is unrelated to the topic. You also focus too much on nostalgia because people can like Frutiger Aero without having grown up with it. Certainly for most people it is due to nostalgic bias, but this trend and visual style can still be appreciated regardless of that and broken down into specific and objective attributes. A liminal space is a photograph (or screenshot) of a place that is intended for people to inhabit, without people, and capturing either a temporal or spatial transition, especially both. Nostalgia amplifies people's enjoyment but it's subjective to each person so it is useless when defining an external phenomenon. It can still be fun to relate to with others but I don't think any of that should be part of what is defined as "Frutiger Aero". And even if you are nostalgic for it, I think everyone is capable of examining and acknowledging their own bias and liking what they like anyway for its own objective qualities.
