Can we appreciate the fact that the physics and the weight shift on the vehicles are so real. This game was so ahead of its time. There hasnt been a game like it since. Storywise Twisted metal takes the cake but the gameplay was top notch and breakthrough

I hate most of their alternate designs after they're maxed out but Convoy, Dallas 13, Dusty Earth (which is Clyde's original vehicle with minor design change) and Bob O look pretty good. If they ever release remake version, they need to make it to can switch and all upgrades in the option on/off rather than being forced to have them after maxing any character out.

2:05 These two cars single-handedly made me cherish Vigilante 8 more than twisted metal. I LOVED hearing this quote and being able to hook cars and drop them in the water or get whammy combos. Not to mention the Semi truck was one of my fav cars to unlock as a kid and his special was basically the Old John torques special from the first game but knocks them horizontal. I just think the character specials in this game were way more fun than twisted metal and the whole upgrading car and the many different weapon variations (like cluster mine, gravity mine, hovering mine) made this more fun than twisted metal

this game is so much better than twisted metal, i love twisted metal, and im pretty upset this game didnt continue and twisted metal did. well until 2012? i think. v8 took what was great about twisted metal and added on to it. the level design is better, the combat is just as good if not better, the story is great, the progression is great. i love this game so much that i actually tried making it in unity a few years ago. well needless to say despite making great progress on that i realized there was no way i could actually achieve that goal in a reasonable amount of time by myself. im serious lol czcams.com/video/tICTVaeyhIg/video.html

I played the ever living crap out of this game. Always liked that the vehicles had different models once you fully upgraded the stats.

I marked your time in stopwatch since the tire burnout until the time the guy shouts, it was 28.15 sec, mark yourself and see the results. Still pretty good, the ingame stopwatch has ~3 sec delay, I did 31 sec (stopwatch), the youtube (and maybe world record) is 26.3 in stopwatch.

Когда скачаешь ссылки, разархивируй папку, зайди в неё и просто запусти Launcher. И всё. Там полностью изменена графика, звуки машин и сами машины.

Михаил, приветствую! Подписался на твой канал. Посмотрел твоё прохождение игр Driver-2 и Redriver-2. У меня к тебе есть такое предложение. Год назад ты играл в оригинальный Redriver-2, точно в такой же, как Driver-2, всё тоже самое там, только лучше графика. Я не знаю, в курсе ты или нет, но есть также два мода Redriver-2, где полностью изменены все миссии в отличие от оригинального Драйвера и плюс также есть несколько новых миссий, которых не было в оригинальном Драйвере вообще! Я оставлю тебе ссылки на два мода. Если будет желание, посмотри пожалуйста, а точнее очень хотелось бы увидеть твоё прохождение этих модов на твоём стриме или же просто, если запишешь видео своего прохождения. Только рекомендую сразу проходить на харде, в этом вся и прелесть двух модов. Сначала лучше пройти мод 1.2, а потом 1.3. Скажу сразу, что использовать быстрое сохранение в нём нельзя, так что миссии нужно будет проходить от начала и до конца без всяких сэйвов. И ещё. В свободном режиме, когда пройдёшь основную часть игры можно будет поездить на двух секретных тачках, которых нет в оригинальном Драйвере. Это трэйлер в Чикаго и ещё один фургон в Вегасе. Надеюсь, что ты согласишься пройти эти два мода, ведь оно того стоит. Но миссии там конечно лютые и оригинальный драйвер просто отдыхает.

This game was ahead of its time. So much attention to detail. Physics felt great, destruction was amazing, characters, vehicles, and weapons all felt great. Loved it.

A great underrated classic with a halfway decent story. They should remake this game. This game is better than twisted metal.
