Clyde Graf created The Graf Boys channel to share New Zealand's diverse wildlife, and environmental issues. In more recent years we have included our Australian gold hunting videos.
About The Graf Boys - Steve, Clyde, and their dad Egon, have been filming New Zealand's wildlife and outdoors action for over 27 years. They pride themselves on capturing the best wild deer, wild kiwi and true outdoors action in New Zealand.
Since 2006, they've have spent 15 years (in between other adventures) filming and documenting aerial poison drops across New Zealand. Govt agencies spread the deadly pesticide 1080 poison (Compound 1080) over New Zealand's forests and streams to kill deer, possums, pigs and rats, but many native species are also killed.
These days, focus has gone back to outdoor adventures, like Aussie gold hunting.
Be sure to subscribe and keep up to date with all the tips and action from our wildlife adventures.

Hi mate, first of all I'd like to say i love your channel. I grew up in New Zealand and spent majority of my childhood out in nature. Geology fascinates me and i have worked in seismic geological surveying both in NZ and Australia so i understand inner processes of mineral deposition. One day a want to test my knowledge and try fossicking for gold. Have you used geological data and resources before to aid in your fossicking?
Your a tonic these videos are great some great gold and you really put in the work in those hard rocky areas in tropical heat. You make your own luck with that cheerful attitude
Well done thanks for sharing

Woohoo nice find big gold.❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great video , I appreciate your efforts. Keep safe
Ohh PLEASE stop waving those targets Back and Forth and Back and forth and Back and Forth and Back and forth over the Coil. SHEESHE, it takes one maybe two swings to locate a target.
You're amazing, bare basics, aside from your metal detector, You're putting in the sweat, ,& blisters to get the gold, worked hard for 👊
1.5 grams of gold = roughly $150. He saw you coming. Picks don't cost anywhere near that
Looks like a trap door spider to me
Do you need a PERMIT?
Da man! Thats how you doit👍
Why is there a photographer in front of the cameraman?
Nice gold . Good job. I wish my gf and I could go with you some day. Every time we go looking, we have trouble accessing open ground
Palmerville keeps giving to those who're willing to put hard work in

G’day mate what part of QLD are you in and is it worth sluicing? Love the videos mate cheers 👍
Hi, up around the Palmer river way. I've never done any sluicing up there but would probably be interesting.
Amazing finds, well worth putting up with the heat. Those quartz gold specimens will be worth a premium
Always got to keep mindful of the snakes "Coiled Up". Thanks So Much for another Great video Steve. Tasmania. 🇦🇺

ONYA CHAMP YOUR TRULY INSPIRING TO US PROSPECTOR'S
"ONYA CHAMP" A NUGGET to big for the container has gotta be a good day.cheers mate.
Totally enjoy your videos 👍 Hello from the USA 🇺🇸
amazing
Hi do you have any tips equipment lists I could use please? Based in Newcastle. Cheers
Hi, I tend to have very basic equipment, while most people these days are going for the latest model detectors like the gpz 7000 or 6000, I'm still using the old gpx 5000. I also don't have any fancy camping gear either. No fridge or freezer etc or solar power. So you don't actually need a lot of fancy equipment, just a basic pick and scoop etc. The best advice I can offer really is to be persistent, the longer you have the coil on the ground the better your chances are. As long as you're in a gold producing area then it could literally be anywhere, within reason. As I've sometimes found nuggets in places I least expect it to be. And often it's not where you'd think it should be. But of course most areas have already been done over many times before, but there's usually still bits that get missed so you never know where it could be. Good luck cheers 😃.
I am deeply saddened and troubled by this outrageous poisoning. I had no idea this is actually happening at such a scale. How can this be allowed?
It's increasing all across New Zealand. Nobody seems to care, and New Zealanders are brainwashed into thinking it's the only way to save wildlife. Bazaar but true. It's a big industry, with a lot of money involved every year. Very sad indeed.
I Can Just Imagne The Bird Eats The Fruit 💀
Fantastic videos thank you for sharing and inspiring to get out there
Yeah well I'd rather be The One finding the colour
Wonderful
What state is that Buddy
Hi, north Queensland cheers.
Look at Miners Den Australia for "How to estimate gold in specimens using specific gravity" This has you dry weigh and then weigh the speci in water and use the math formula to determine the weight of the gold. A lot of iron in the sample will throw off the reliablity of the tes.You could use acid to dissolve the quartz and see how accurate the test was later.
That's extraordinary. Isn't it worrying that it's out in broad daylight? Is it OK?
On Stewart Island, Rakiura, kiwi often forage for food during daylight hours. I can assure you this bird is perfectly okay. :)
Take me with you ❤❤❤
beautiful work guys
You are legend mate , i love ur video , where about in plamer river and do uhave any maps tht U use
Thanks, I have a season pass on palmerville station so I just go anywhere within the pass boundaries. I use the trilobite app to see where leases are etc, but be careful if using that app because if you download a satellite image map onto it then it will often drop out and not work again until you're back in mobile or WiFi reception. Seems ok if you don't download any maps. Cheers 😃.
@@stevegraf9276 U are gentleman Steve thank U for your advice 💖
Great video. Thanks Heaps.
😅 I'm happy that that your trip had a good success with prospecting in WA out back. It is good to see how well your GPX has performed .Well done and happy prospecting.
