Is The Wrexham Gamble Paying Off?
Wrexham is a story that I have been following closely since Rob and Ryan took over. It’s been three years. They’ve secured two promotions and multiple Emmy awards! Time to dive into their business performance so far.

Why Are So Many American Investors Buying Premier League Football Clubs?

Why Are So Many American Investors Buying Premier League Football Clubs?
One key thing is that not only would Wrexham be worth hundreds of millions if they were to make it to the Premier League ... they were bought for a 2 million investment and would TODAY be worth 10 million or more if sold, so the capital gains of the club are keeping pace with the amount "owed" to the co-owners. While they are going to make a push for the playoff spots at the very least, so spending on players will rise again, I expect the 5 million pound loss is going to go down -- not just from the growth in sponsorship income, but also from a move of their kit to a first tier sports merchandiser. For the last two seasons, Wrexham shirts were constantly sold out.
I recorded this before the announcement of the investment in Homage. Another shrewd move which will allow them as you say, to benefit even more from their massive retail presence. Theyve also announced another US Pre-season tour where they'll face Chelsea again and likely Necaxa too. The kit manufacturer deal is a sound one.
If you’re a marketing god like Logan, you can create multiple billion dollar cash cows. Logan has shown the world that product is secondary and marketing is everything. Business genius.
I feel sorry for those who have no idea of this account
Kind words 🙏🏾 they do be sleeping tho 😅
Very much agree with this comment!! Not sure how I found the channel but by gum, it is flipping interesting and very well put together.

Got Lief and Cam mixed up

im here and excited for more content and the growth of this channel!!
finally a relatable channel w financial breakdowns of lucrative business ventures
from my perspective, it is also to do with increasing competitions and expansion of the internet. when I was a kid in the 90s, Nike and Adidas were the big names for cool kids to wear. Puma was around but it was rare. back then it was a time when kids only knew fashion from TV athletes and peers. but now a days, people can learn about other brands through internet, youtube...etc, and wearing a Michael Jordan "air" does not have the same impact as it did in the 90s and early 2000s.
Met him once. Very calm surprisingly. His father on the other hand is a different story 😂.
"and as a fan you dont want to support a club that goes down the english footballing pa-. AHHH"
😅 It be like that sometimes
(He will see this too) but if you enjoy the content and need an editor to grow your brand on social media just DM this page…I’ll see it and get in touch
I think someone has made a video about who the owner is , but dont remember who😄
Glory Glory Man United!!!
I played football in high school and college and the only time I wore Nike was in college because the school had a contract and we were obligated to wear them
They just saved the money and outbidded adidas for Germany National Football team deal.
Jordan could be one of the most overrated athlete ever. Not because he was bad.. But for everything after. He is marketed, thats why hes so big to this day. Nobody denies his ability to play ball, but he wasnt that great to be absorbing that kinds of money to this day. Again, marketing and exposure.
One of the hottest takes I've seen posted in my comments ever. Sizzling stuff
Ramos didnt go to adidas!
For those in the comments, Matchroom posted £33.7m in profit in their latest filing. Those that think Darts is a silly sport, think again Darts business contributed more than a third of that (£12.0m). Crazy
Change it for smaller clubs or lower league clubs so the big clubs can have space for the UCL.
Didn't ramos join mizuno?
How about if you look the opposite way like kobe bryant who is once an adidas athlete but then he leaved for nike rest in peace black mamba!!!
All the more reason to get a dodgy box
😅 pirates out in full force 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
portugal's national team is going to puma next year
The Long Play, You're fantastic! Let's be friends and have fun!
An interesting offer
Why are you not mention Nike's acquisition like Ja Morant and Wembanyama? Also, Neymar didn't leave Nike because he wanted, Nike was the one who broke the contract after his scandal with an employee of the brand, just like Kyrie Irving contract was cancelled by Nike because of his antissemitic and conspiracy theories statements. You are not adressing anything realistic here, it looks just click baiting.
Watching you from Cameroon. Locked in and learning a lot. Can’t thank you enough.
Man you can't F with the swoosh❤
Iv only seen it in iceland for £1
Have you tried it? Are you a fan?
I’ve only seen it in paper shops and b&m. The sour cherry one is damn good!
B&M. An interesting choice of retailer. Glad to know the product is good
Random question for those in the comments. Who you got this weekend, Fury or Usyk?
are you planning to do Anthony Joshua i’ll say his is way better than Fury
The most requested piece of content since I started this platform 😂 His next fight will be late September. I guarantee you will have an AJ breakdown on September 15th
Mike Tyson‘s business side would be interesting as well as Floyd Mayweather..
They’re going to be hour-long specials 😅
@@TheLongPlayUK haha yeah i reckon 🙂↔️

@@movieclub9399 I’m giving you guys the inside scoop here 👀 The people that will get breakdowns in 2024 guaranteed are AJ and Rory. If space permits Conor and Eddie Hearn may follow. Can’t wait to make them
If your going to make it Make about oscar de la hoya too...
this channel is going places, goodluck man :)
Kind words, appreciate you 🙏🏾
One of your previous TikToks on the disconnect between international and club rugby absolutely hit the nail on the head, I think a long format video would go even further in highlighting the terrible job the RFU do running the sport in England especially how it’s marketed, this is excellent content tho
Appreciate the kind words. The response on all of my platforms to this video has been fascinating. The ring-fencing measures around promotion/relegation into the Premiership are so prohibitive. I wonder if they will ever address that area
Just watched your TikTok on Premiership Rugby and came to see your YT - this is high quality stuff keep it up 👍
Glad you enjoy. So much more coming this summer. Thank you for watching more 🙏🏾
Major problem, TNT is too expensive for the offering. This is not football what I get with Sky sports is more variety of sports for less cost. This TV deal is going to potentially sit the game behind a paywall along with probably the six nations which means it will be like cricket built on the national not league teams. The opposite of the massively successful football model
Rugby Union continues to try and battle against football for eyes and tickets during the spring/winter/autumn months, however if it moved everything from May to September it's would do more in a shorter space of time and protect player welfare. (Rugby League in the UK does it and it captures fans leaving places like Leeds and Manchester United)
Then the RFU would be competing with a better sport (league(
@waughy9103 in the North only and I think it's logical to go up against League rather than compete against the most popular sport on the planet
As much as I want league to succeed, even if I’m a union fan, financially its not in a great position either in England so I don’t think copying it would do much help for Union
@davidantoine8296 I don't think it would be copying league? I think it's saying we will no longer go up against Football at the same time of year and try and capture the audience during footballs downtime
@@williamcarter3933 yes I completely understand the logic I’m just not sure the reward outweighs the upheaval, rugby league doesn’t seem to have massively benefitted commercially from having the season structured like you’ve suggested and besides every two years you’d be competing with the Euros and the football World Cup anyway since they take place during the summer
Doesn’t help the likes of Worcester, Wasps and Irish tho does it
No bit maybe with a better more sustainable and longer term viable financial model they can be brought back? 6 ways stadium is still there for example.
Thank you for this, really good clear update and as a rugby fan I’m hopeful that this will bring rugby back into the limelight.
I guess the idea is that the bigger the sport gets the more each club receives. It may go some way to helping those clubs in a bad way. Not perfect but I see the logic. (It is worth noting that some of those clubs were partially to blame themselves too. That shouldn’t be ignored)
Thierry Henry leaving was when I first noticed as he really suited the brand.
Quality content
Appreciate you brother. More coming this summer 🙏🏾
Very good video Sir
Thank you so much dude. Appreciate it 🙏🏾
But we're not the only league competing for players, if the prem make a spending cap other leagues like la liga and the bundesliga could capitalise on our restrictions and make the prem a less competitive league in the long run less champions league titles etc, it's not all good news, but definitely a step in the right direction
Alot of F1 execs say the Cost Cap is the real reason why the sport has ballooned in popularity. A more predictable balance sheet makes it easier to get sponsors and makes the sport more investable. Leading to far more growth. I hear it.
Rafael leao????? He is my second goat my first goat is messi
