The most Dangerous Harpist in the World! Ursula Burns is a multi instrumentalist, songwriter, composer, performer and comedian who accidentally fell into funny land by winning the Irish Musical Comedy Awards in Dublin 2012. Her first trip to Edinburgh festival saw her nominated for the increasingly prestigious Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality. Burns has independently released 5 self- penned albums, written a wealth of music for theatre and has run away with the Circus more times than most of us have had hot dinners!! The Dangerous Harpist album is due for release in May 2016

@@ursulaburns5774 Hello Ursula , thank you for your message ! I live in Dublin … should you ever consider it , I have Planning Permission to host small events and concerts . It is for 24 however sometimes 45 to 50 arrive .. it’s difficult to gage the numbers . The performers undertake the promotion as I worked full time at this house and my cottage venue in Co Sligo ( now sold ) Well in any case my pal John and I hope to see you perform live .. what a treat that would be . Just the other day I thinking how beautiful that would be and a photo to boot. Beautiful I was wondering how the harp sounded on the open water. Thank you for this special share.
That is one thing we could improve. From land it was hard to hear the harp on the curragh. The space is so massive. It sounded great for the rowers and we played in rhythm and scync. They also stopped to listen a few times. To make it more impressive we would also need to rig a sound system.

You hit the nail on the head. I developed my own harping style in the 90s after hearing an incantation record -it is a hybrid between paraguyian and celtic ! I love paraguyian harps as the base is so defined! I enjoy all the notes - alot!
