Thank you!! Right, to measure (wow how did I miss this) I measured from my shoulder to where I wanted the sweater to sit at my natural waist. For me this was about 15” or 82 chains. For the width I worked rows until I covered half my front (about 9.5” for a loose fit). I doubled that number for the back. I hope this helps but let me know, I may need to put together a quick video on how to take personal measurements.

This means that you should crochet your stitches into the loop or circle created by the magic ring. Once you've made the loop/ring, as shown in the video, insert your hook into the loop/ring and pull up a loop of yarn. Then start making your stitches. Hope that helps!

This pattern is worked in continuous rounds so it's essential to use a stitch marker at the end or beginning of each round because there is no turning or slip stitching at the end of each round. When Round 12 ends, the next stitch is Round 13. Size might vary depending on the yarn you use and your personal tension. The pillow in this video is approx. 9 inches in diameter.

The original pattern on my blog was for a smaller version using worsted weight yarn. It's probably too big for a keychain so you might want to experiment using a lighter weight yarn like fingering or DK and an appropriate hook.

You can use different hook sizes but if you're also using the same yarn as in the pattern then the size and shape will be different.
