Fishing shallow river for AGGRESSIVE fish!
In today's video, I traveled to western North Carolina to float down a shallow, rocky river loaded with smallmouth bass! I received many aggressive topwater eats and landed quite a few nice fish! I had an awesome time with Matt from Tuckaseegee fly shop.

I must say when you are catching fish on flies. You’re doing well. No matter how bad your cast is. It takes time, patience and you gotta put the work in. I’ve always started the season off at a park or parking lot with last years leader on. No fly and cast cast cast.

A good knot for your fly line to leader is to make a perfection loop, nice and easy to change leaders and has never failed for me.

I got a small round reel of Temu that I’ve been using to cast light lures around with. It’s pretty good for what I paid for it. I’ve only gotten one hard bait that I like so far but some of the plastics are decent
