If someone else pulls, they get to tank it. It isn't about tank pride, or something, but I play to enjoy the game, and I don't enjoy the potential chaos that can spawn from some asshole being impatient. This isn't about me being slow, I have plenty of experience tanking in MMOs beyond the basic dungeon shitter level. I'm perfectly capable of pulling fast, or bigger packs. But if you take the control of doing that away from me, I will let you tank it. And then probably leave the group 2 seconds after. Not to teach some kind of warped "lesson," I literally just don't want my fun lessened because you think it's your job to pull for me. I understand that people probably have horror stories to tell about awful tanks with titanic egoes, but the YPYT nonsense is, as so many things aren't, just not that onesided a story.

I genuinely don't think arkasodara should be a "if you're really desperate" option here, they give easily half a level at 80 and take less than 10 minutes to complete, and you can be doing them alongside your 6 FATEs while waiting for your leveling roulette queue to pop. Hell, even Pixies give 1/5 of a level at 80 and take even less time to do. Between WT and those 2, you'll easily be 81 going into your leveling roulette

I just realised how shit the new DRK charge is... damage and all that aside, the animation was amazing, now it looks reaper-ripoff sans the effects.

People saying shit they don't like breaks lore has been a thing in MMOs or games in general. I should know, I was a victim of it in another MMO. So I for one embrace the incoming Pictomancer, even though I haven't gotten to that point in FF6 yet (and knowing that it won't be my main because Viper was too hype).

I remember when I started mentoring, I was like you-wanting to help people and trying to tell them that what they were doing wasn't correct and that they'd do better doing something else. I gave up after doing 2,000 roulettes in 6 weeks. I realized that I both didn't want to be a mentor anymore and that the playerbase, in general, was so poor that it wasn't worth the time or effort to teach them. Don't get me wrong, I had touching moments, like spending 2 hours explaining how to heal to a random sprout on a different server simply because they asked. I also had a Sephirot run where I got kicked for being "toxic" because I said that we shouldn't expect to clear but still should try our best. Being a mentor was by far the most toxic experience I ever had in the game. I saw the absolute worst of the playerbase, and it rubbed off on me. It has been a year since I did it, and I still feel the residual effects of having people so hostile to improvement that I don't talk in the game anymore.

It's really disappointing to see people hating on the new job, Pitcomancer, claiming it doesn't fit the game. This kind of negativity is completely unnecessary. It's like with different ice cream flavors: some people like one flavor more than another, and that's perfectly okay. We shouldn't be pointing fingers and hating on people just because they like a flavor (or a job) that you don't like or haven't even tried. Everyone has their own preferences, and that's what makes the game diverse and interesting. Let's be more open-minded and respectful towards each other's choices.

My conspiracy theory is they're going to try and make all jobs use a max of 24 buttons next expansion to make the 2 default hotbars for PC and the standard face buttons with triggers for console all that's needed to play every job. Picto and Viper are 23 and 24 respectively which doesn't seem like a coincidence.

So far Picto is the thing I'm most excited for in the new expansion precisely because that feels so Final Fantasy to have a Picto in the job selections. I don't know if I'll like playing it but I'm eager to start seeing it show up in groups.

Great video. Fully agreed, and as a longtime FF fan, it’s ridiculous to me to see people saying Picto doesn’t belong. I’ve been getting shit from some members of my FC for my intention to switch from Dragoon to Viper, because apparently that means I’m a moron who can’t play complex or demanding jobs. The bizarre elitism is really grating.

An excellent point with Seraphism. I personally don't like the robe (the AF gear is goofy but in a different way compared to seraphism,) but it's kinda wild to see some of the people accusing Square Enix of emasculating scholars and trying to force healers to look effeminate.
