I prefer a two stage implant. The problem with a single piece implant is that there are micro movements coming from your tongue, or during sleep you accidentally push or touch it wrong. These micro movements get sent to the base of the implant and prevent proper healing. It’s better to place a first stage which is buried, and so it’s easier for it to heal, and 3-4 months later install the second stage and load it. I recommend Zeramex XT which is a two stage zirconia implant with a carbon fiber screw for a completely metal free solution.
