Hello there Froosh I like your video that you did for your day in the life and just a quick notice that the Dennis Trident bus that you had at the start of your video was 18437 which is called the Jack but is nickname is called juicy/Jacky boy as my good driver Mark said to me because he is the one that drives the old girl mainly on the 64 or the 62 route and I used to see mark driving the Jack on college days for me for when I finished my day at college on a Monday and the Tuesday as well so yeah and excellent driving and filming mate well done indeed and PS I hope you took care of the old girl for when you were doing the C62 from Yate going to Cirencester college via Malmesbury.

Why is it most modern ‘service’ buses seem to rattle so much. I’ve driven older tackle that doesn’t rattle as much. Nice to have your friendly regulars though.

Is it true that stagecoach makes you guys work 9 days straight without rest ?

I interviewed at Stagecoach for a Trainee Bus Driving position about a month ago. The depot manager was an incredibly obnoxious, unpleasant, and rude bloke. The depot itself including the offices where filthy and smelt like body odur and coffee. I turned up in a suit and presentable he spent the interview talking about how horrid the job was and that most aren't "cut out for it". Needless to say, I didn't become a bus driver. Orginally worked in aviation manufacturing, wanted a change now employed as a maintenance officer at a local special needs school, and love it. I get to drive the mini bus as well, so best of both worlds, I guess. Honestly, nothing but respect for you, lads. The drivers cabin looks incredibly grim, cramped, and uncomfortable. Plus the fact your able to remember the routes, something that always amazes me. Random question on my school minibus I use a sat nav. Why won't big bus companies like Arriva and Stagecoach have them fitted ? Surley, you could have your route sent remotely steieght to your bus would also program the most fuel effiecent route and avoid traffic. All the best, buddy, and well done, you for doing the job certainly not for me. I hope your depot manager is a dam site nicer than the one I interviewed with.

Really enjoyed your video. I live in Stroud, my local route is 67. I have had a long-standing interest in buses, trams, coaches and trolleybuses from a boy. On CZcams I follow Gyorgy Szabo - Flixbus driver; TramMeneer - Netherlands; James Underwood - works out of Westbury; Hugo Bazin - Zurich. More recently I discovered DashCamDrive - London. There are quite a few others. It is possible I might see you one day. Looking forward to more videos from you. Bryan.

To me, in Newcastle the most ignorant and a no is drivers ever employed. A crap service staffed by part time staff who could£ not give a gig people getting to work look after their family. extortionate fares. Not fit to be paid minimum wage.

It’s a joy to watch these videos and see what it’s like in other parts of the country. I work for Stagecoach in Manchester, and have almost finished my time with a mentor after passing two weeks back. After spending some time in a 24 plate Optare, I really like them and it makes a welcome change from an Enviro 400 😂
