Love that blue! Did Kawasaki ever fix the kickstand issue on those? (I recall my 2009 vn900 used a softer metal sandwiched somewhere between the kickstand and the mount that tended to warp/bend/fail. That bike was my 4th Kawasaki and it was such a small thing to cheap out on. Really soured my feeling for Kawasaki...)
The back firing in this case is caused by opening the throttle and letting go for a demonstration, the unneeded/unburnt fuel is dumped into the hot exhaust and making the popping sound.
there is a company called oily bikers Ltd you can find them on Facebook who do an exhaust for assault all you have to do is make a racket from the exhaust bracket to the frame bracket on the bike I'm waiting for price n pic etc guys
tony cox this is the dealer that I used very friendly if you give them a call sure they will be more than helpful just say you been talking to Daz that as had the carbon fibre exhaust fitted to his assault normanbirchbikes.co.uk/
ThatShortRider the bikes acceleration as greatly improved, it also is faster, apparently due to the baffles etc, it's improved the bike performance, its a 100% improvement, the guys at Norman and Birch, have done a class job, their so friendly and helpful, fantastic service highly recommended 👍
Daz Willott hi daz is this your bike and if it is is the exhaust ok and fits well because cmpo told me a venom downpipe fits but is it a good tight stable fit ? cheers in advance
Hey there, did you guys just install an aftermarket downpipe onto this to allow for a slip-on exhaust? just curious as I'm looking to fitting an aftermarket onto mine but haven't found an exhaust specifically for this bike

The assaults are fucking beasts when you mod them. The pops and bangs I had from mine were absolutely unbelievable. Epic bike!

Did you also up-jetted it? Couse backfire is a sign of lean mixture.

how did you get the stainless downpipe and exhaust to fit there's nothing except the standard one on lexmoto website

ThatShortRider yes it's a really good fit had no issues plus it really suits the bike with it been the carbon fibre exhaust I would highly recommend
