I now have all single player world records recorded! This was a 12 hour run! Started at 2:30pm and ended at 2:30am. Memories stage takes up a lot of time in order to get a high score like this. I recorded the final moments because recording the full run would probably lead to complications with the video. Very happy to get all story mode world records recorded! Now all that is left is the 5 online stages! I'll be doing that with jungle very soon. Thanks for watching!

Honestly, this game is just a complete mess. I think it was a very bad idea for the developers to put in a quit option and then come back to the stage. Knowing certain ways to knock off huge items and gain them back for big gains is busted. I must of done this over and over again in this stage like 30 to 50 times. Thanks to Jobnsoso for this beautiful trick. Apparently, you can get negative memories in this stage, which is pretty cool. -15 is the highest I've ever gotten so I ran with this run. It's best to wait until the king start speaking. That way, you won't have to roll up an objective that he tells you to roll. It's a lot tougher to get the giant rocks to fall off. You have to get rid of buildings and anything else smaller to access the rocks. Usually rocks fall off one at a time. I managed to get 3 rocks off in one clip, so i went with this run. I think it's possible to go higher for sure, but it's tough to get literally anything off the katamari. The old world record for this stage was 122m87cm4mm by Jungle. I was going off based on cyberscore but apparently those records are outdated. 87cm9mm is pretty good. Got new glasses to try out. They're pretty nice for the eyes since they get rid of blue light easily. Been getting headaches while play in long sessions. As for this run, it's pretty much identical to gold bug and the other animal stage. Don't know why MMK did repeat levels for the best score possible. You could do other levels but there is only one that matters, which is the giant rocks stage....

I spoke with Jonny about my old score of 1mm and the reason why it was so low was because I lost heavy objects and once you pick them back up again, they will be worth less. So I pick up the Van that's worth 1cm, I accidentally lose it. Pick it back up and it would only be worth 8mm. This run was pretty good with the best RNG with the pumpkins. Finally got around to doing this one. I believe 8mm is possible but quite difficult. RNG pattern in the farm area is stupid. I feel like you get stuck in this stage more than any other stage. This is the highest score I can come up with so far in the battle vs mode. A lot of things are RNG in this stage. Items, item placements, and even time is RNG. 5 minutes is the best time to get to complete this. Not too sure if 1m is possible since the only thing that is truly big is the carrots. It's nice to play this game online! It is a shame that there is only 1 stage to play. Getting the gold crown is automatically 20 points and if you get it, you basically win the game. Shout out to the game grumps out here! Very similar to Gold Bug. The only real difference here is that you get an extra minute to do the save state trick. Getting one giant rock will get you to 18m06 to 07cm. @@earthandspace2073 the video itself is 60fps. The game is 30fps. Didn't change the frame rate in game.
I never played beautiful katamari and my thoughts of this game is kinda hard.

You might have to do this same thing again for the Dolphin and Whale stages, which I think can possibly take you to this same location at the end. I think the Peacock stage might force you to stay in the snowy version of this area, so that stage might turn out differently
I have to do them all, even if they are the same. Peacock should be very interesting.
I guess stuff like this might’ve been why the save state system didn’t get into TMK, lol

Are you thinking about coming back to improve the record in this stage? This stage is the only WR in this game without a recording to my knowledge
@@swimminginoblivion5186 most likely yes. But I'm going to need preparation to do it. It's an 11 to 15 hour run so I'll probably do it when I take a vacation in September.

@@domisfun6434 I don't think so since when u roll up objects, the king absorbs them quickly and when that happens, you can't knock the items off.
im not sure but I think the king has a limit of how many object he can have stuck to himself
i would guess that the king is programmed the same as the sumo from WLK
@@domisfun6434 I would assume that as well. You could collect more and have the items stick outside him but you would have to wait until the king gives you the correct item category to knock them down.

Wow, negative memories. The didn't have access to using "-" so they used "," instead. The devs could've fixed it so the minimum would be 0.

Great work! Have you tried varying the timing of when you get the islands/Jumboman? Immediately at ~92m/~108m (this run)/at the end? I could never say for certain if it made a difference, but I know that something other than disappearance is at play with this level and Beetle. Final scores on the stage, for example, vary from 122m70cm to what you got here.
I always thought it was the items like the white trees and giant rocks that made the difference. If I don't get those, then I get a lower score. You could also be right about the island/jumboman. Thank you Foomin!
