you can't say he's not athletic enough as he has the fastest time 3/4th court sprint in NBA history since 2001 and a 43.5 inch vert (7th in combine history) and 2x NBA dunk champion. You can't say he can't shoot at he has career highs in the G league at 55% FG% 47% 3pt % and 88% FT%. The 88% FT demonstrates he's a pure shooter for sure. You can't say he didn't prove himself when he did play in the NBA as the one game he did play a full game he had a 20 pt triple double. You can't say he's too small as there are a ton of dudes as small or smaller than him (Trae, Isahah Thomas, Nate Robinson, Curry, Kyrie, Dame, CP3, etc). If you say he's defense is poor qell most those guys I listed didn't have great defense either. The real reason is he's a Caucasian American born player. They do not qant him to be the face of the NBA. Catlin Clark is going through a similar thing but they had to draft her but they're attempting to beat the shite out of her so she just quits. Refs aren't calling legit fouls and calling techs on her for just looking at players the wrong qay. The racism against Caucasians is going to get worse.

The reason Luka is so good is he never stops. There is no off season for him. He plays in other leagues. He has many 30+ & 40+ triple doubles, more than most players who have played for 2 decades. He’s undersized but he’s the best player in this draft simple as that. It’s just so obviously watching the film, going to ote being mostly a pg, then having to go Kentucky and becoming one of the bets c&s shooters in college, he’s was one of the most efficient pnr scorers and had 30% assist rate. Being forced to develop this versatility in those situations turned him into an offensive engine especially as a 2nd option.

Also need to look at Tristen Newton True PG Castle’s teammate. He’s a sleeper in the second round or late 1st round. Triple Double in the college playoffs. Walking double double at minimum.

Watching the spurs since 2013, I’ve come to understand that Popovich allows more offensive creativity with established discipline, the reason wemby was able to come in and gradually have the freedom to do whatever he wanted, asides from him being a generational talent, came from the trust and commitment he showed to Pop’s offensive strategy, I believe if Rob can buy in to what Pop teaches Pop would buy into Rob, patience will ultimately be the swing factor from both positions in my opinion if we were to take Rob

Wasn't his fault Calisucki went out and re- recruited over him in the Rob and Reed Show....that never fully got outta the gate properly and going due to calisuckis ineptitude. . Pop will not give him the freedom to play his game. In fact, if the Spurs go that route, don't expect much playtime early from Dillingham until he can improve on the exact things that are flaws in his game. He'll have to improve his shot selection and his playmaking while also being able to finish better around the rim and improve his defense.

FACTS. LeBron would have 12 MVPs already if they used the same metrics for him that they did for Jokic. The NBA is clearly pushing to fulfill a Great White Hope narrative and everyone can clearly see it. The MVP award is a regular season award and always has been. And if you already have an MVP you definitely do not get another one without having career years especially when there are other players who are and are playing at the MVP level. this is hands down the worst take I have ever tried to watch. Watch Jokic at the parade after winning championship - the dude was happy af after winning a title. MVPs are near impossible to win - he just works that much harder than other players. He also wins MVPs because he isn't concentrating on winning MVPS he is concentrating on making his teammates better and on makeing himself better not on winning some award. This is why players like Embid are garbage and fail - all he cared about was winning MVP - crying like a baby over not winning and basically forcing voters to vote him in. In reality Jokic should have 4 straight MVPs. Not that it would matter to him because he doesn't care about individual accolades just about making his teammates better. Shai is a good player sure but he is not nearly on the same level as Jokic. He just cares about scoring more points and getting more stats etc. Jokic doesn't care about stats - he would be happiest to go out and get 5 points 10 assists and 15 rebounds and just support his team if they could win like this. That is why he is the best player - he does whatever is required to win. Sometimes that means he has to drop 40 and 35 in back to back games against the "Best Defender" "DPOY" "Best team defense" in order to win. But even in games like this where he has to take over he still manages to get 20 assits over those two games. Because he knows that getting his team involved and scoring will make them play harder defense, box out stronger, cut to the basic more etc etc. Jokic is on another level from any other player in the league.
