We love Mr Uecker in Milwaukee.
When he did the movie major league he was funny as hell drinking jack Daniels in the booth
I have that exact same tie!
Lucky to have grown up listening to bob call games. "Get up, get up, get outta heerree, GOONNEEEE" will always be one of my favorite childhood memories!!! What a legend
Paraphrasing," I knew how to handle a knuckleball, I just waited until it stopped rolling." Literal tears.
How is it that the camera work was so horrible.
27 passed balls with Atlanta 1967. Lorn Brown, the exact opposite of Uecker.
Whoever is filming this video needs to learn how to keep the camera still without moving the camera so much!!!!
Bless Bob Uecker.
Norm MacDonald loved Bob.. That's plenty enough reason for me not to question it.
Love his joke about leading the Cards in two categories: "Hang in there" and "Get 'em next time".
Who let Ray Charles have the camera?
Stevie Wonder loaned it to him.
One off the BEST at the HOF !!
Just a little bit outside. Must be in the front row. Priceless. Love this guy.
Bob Ueker is a great and funny man. The camera work on this video, not so much. Dramamine is recommended.
Uecker Fan Club: Uecker's Pukers, We ain't a leavin' until we're heavin'
Love you bob uecker, love you in the major league movies and your involvement in the Wrestlemanias.
A good catcher in his career.
Bob is a Vampire. Long live Bob.
Nothing like getting introduced by one of the most racist people in baseball in the 20th century.
Troll
God bless that man. Thank you Bob, we love you!
Yook yook yookster the man
Such deadpan delivery, no notes. Hilarious. Well worth the 20 minutes.
Guy could've been a famous comic. Wait, he was a famous comic.
The Baseball Hall of Fame is not JUST about performance on the field ALL the time. Its what you mean and bring to the game. And FEW broadcasters can be included in that, or Spokesmen of the game. Like a Vin Scully, or Harry Carey, or Bob Uecker....(who actually did play in the MLB) are members of the HOF for a reason that is beyond playing or not influence on the game. NO ONE is ever going to compare the great Pete Rose who should be in, considering 50% of 80's players were doing Coke and got in or the 90's PED players....to frickin BOB UECKER in terms of ability or stats!! Its not like Bob Uecker is next to Jonny Bench, or Gary Carter, or Ivan Rodriguez in the HOF in terms of lifetime achievements while playing...
Mattingly , Mcgriff , Evans and Shillings for sure ped users no way , how about Pete Rose ?
A great guy.....you gotta love him.
The HOF was supposed to be about play on play on the field, to put a less than marginal player, turned broadcaster on the same footing as Young, Cobb, Johnson, Ruth, Mathewson, Hornsby, Alexander etc, is a joke!.......Sports writers, broadcasters etc, have a place, but not anywhere near the same level as top players. And their introduction shouldn't be at the same level....While at it, i'll also say that probably 60-70 pct of members don't belong on the same level as the top tier.
You are just wrong. Pete Rose is quite possibly one of the top 10 players in history of the game. given his stats as a player and as a manager. Yet....why is he not in? cause he got railroaded with gambling... in a time also where half the players were doing coke off the dugout bench. So if the HOF is going to let the likes of MANY of those players in and yet at the same time look at the class and prestige of being a member...then Rose should be in. As should any true ambassador of the game....and Bob Uecker was just that and still is.
What a joke! Pete Rose (ba) .3029=#178 AT (sa) .4093=#997 All Time (obp) .3751=#229 (ops) 118= #518 All Time...Although he would have been a great man to have on any roster; TOP 10 NOT EVEN CLOSE. TOP 20 , nor the top 30, top 40 or top 50! Don't let the hits fool you. It was all the at bats that gave him that; If Cobb had 14053 ab's he would have had 5,138 hits, Hornsby 5,038, Joe Jackson 4,999, and a dozen or more others who would have more hits. Then we add all the other power hitters who didn't have as many hits, but were part of the 517 hitters with a higher ops. If we use the standard roster 11-12 pitchers and 13-14 hitters...taking all the best by positions; Rose wouldn't make any of the top 5 teams
Best speech ever!!!!!!
yah no what folks this man as i'm a chef you will understand this bob is like julia child just a god given national treasure and we were and are still lucky to have him in are lives period
Who the hell is operating the camera? Foster Brooks?
The funniest part is the deadpan.
Ive heard Artie Lange and Norm MacDonald say Bob Eucker is the funniest guy ever. They might be right. This was amazing. God bless you Bob, you are an American treasure.
Got seasick watching the start of this video...went to the official one.
This is a joke, bob uecker in the HOF. When the likes of Gil Hodges, Dale Murphy, Don Mattingly, Orel Hershiser are snubbed. John Smoltz first ballot HOF, yet never during his career could he stand in the shoes of the Hershiser from 1984-1989. Even after his arm trouble he was at least as good or better then smoltz. craig biggio HOF on 2nd year of eligibility. At no point in his career could he stand in the shoes of Gil Hodges, or Don Mattingly from 1984-89, or Dale Murphy from 1980-1987 a 2 time MVP. HOF is a sham and a joke if smoltz, uecker, biggio in HOF and Hodges, Hershiser, Mattingly, and Murphy are not.
Bob Uecker is going into the Hall of Fame as an announcer not as a player
Read!! Idiot!!
@@gerrykelly7077 Name calling is immature and childish.
Agreed!!!
Bob Ucker is in the hall of fame as an announcer, not a player...
The Man Is Magnificent!!!!! Hysterical 😭!!!! And A Class Act All At Once. As Tim McCarver Would Say... "He Just Flat Gets It." God Bless And Love You Alway's. And Thank You Tons... Bob Uecker Mr Baseball 🙏🌹⚾️🌹🙏
OMG.....this is hilarious......l forgot how funny Bob Uecker was.
Fucking goof
This guy is in the Hall Of Fame,as an announcer,to put him in the same category as Vin Scully,is like comparing a Ferrari(Scully)to a Yugo(Uecker)what a joke.
You are an idiot.
You can compare a Ferrari to a Yugo; they are both cars. :-)
HAHAHA Vin Scully? the Ferrari? Flip it around! Vin Skully DIDN'T EVEN PLAY PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL!!! he was a radio head, and not as funny or witty or have even an ounce of the talent overall of BOB UECKER! You my good man are a Joke. (oh and btw Uecker was also a professional actor to boot)
As a Brewers fan, my favorite thing was listening to Euck during rain delays. He's hilarious and the laughs just keep coming. When it's time to call the game, he does a fantastic job. The Milwaukee fans have been truly blessed having him call our games. I wish he could go on forever!
Same here! What a blessing!
very sweet and very moving video great job everyone involved in it
