The garden is starting to wake up and plenty of signs of Spring. I love Tulips and look forward to seeing them open. Collected a friend from Liverpool airport which is next to Dobbies so popped in and picked up a few bargains on the way.

Wow that pile of woodchip is amazing! We get free woodchip from the council but not very often. We do get free manure from a local stable which is great!
We get the woodchip from a local tree surgeon who is more than glad to give it away but if we need more we ask the Council and they will come so we always have plenty 😊
😂😂 my kinda girl 👍👍. I was looking through 'y closet and found I have more plaid shirts than dresses. It has been stunning here for a few days but it is now “spring” so the rains are coming 🤷♀️. Great update and love the walk about. Happy gardening and have an amazing week, Ali 🥶🌞🇨🇦

We have the same with a male chaffinch kept hitting our kitchen window, we put plastic leaves on the glass so he could see himself and he stopped.
He didn’t appear today but if he comes again I’ll try that
I enjoy watching the birds. I get tons of hummingbirds, and they are such a delight to watch.

Oh thats lovely. I have a friend who had a blackbird coming into his kitchen each morning for the bacon rind. The following year it bought its baby along 😊 ❤
@@BusyBethansAllotmentPlot hi Bethan I will have to try bacon rind! I found out that he likes cheese too. The blackbird nested on a light in our lean to a couple of years ago and had 2 lots of eggs, 5 chicks survived.🙏❤️👍👌😁
I hope they nest there for you again this year 🤞. Also put out bits of fleece and wool for their nest 😊 👍
It is a battle with squirrels 🐿️ and in some cases bears 🐻 stealing bird feed. In some areas feeders are actually banned because they attract bears 😮😮. Have a super weekend Bethan I hope that all helps, Ali 🌦️🇨🇦

That's a good idea with the plant saucer, my sister used to feed the birds with a long feeder, she stopped feeding them because the rats used to pull the the top off and they got inside to eat the seeds, she tried many things to stop them but gave up in the end
