This is the camera I use for the cab videos. Purchased from Aliexpress. Its mounted on a container flatbed with extra weight. I don't have a link but there are numerouse examples on the website.

Hi Derek. I'm using 5.1.12 Pro version of iTrain. I took some time to get to grips with it, but with lots of help from the help forum they sorted out my problems. Once it works like this it's a pleasure just to sit back and watch. I still run it manually sometimes but that is a lot more stressful. 😮😅

I'm assuming this train only have one motor car? Are the wheels and track free of grease and dirt? What do you estimate the gradient percentage to be?
One motor car, track spotless and the gradient is just under 2%. Extensive testing has proved that adding weight makes a huge difference. Surprisingly, the loco is only marginally lighter than other models that can negotiate this gradient with ease. The problem is where to fit that extra weight? In the meantime, I have reduced the train to a four coach rig.
@@mikebiggs6632 That's interesting and no significant drag from the other cars? If not i would talk to the manufacturer as a 2% grade should be negotiable.
I have a new XC version which was perfect from the box. But in the past I have found the dummy car to have incorrectly fitted axles and bogies which does add significant drag. Make sure that all axles are spinning freely, coaches to. Also check that the base plate is fitted to the body correctly because this can rub on the wheels
All coaches and the dvt are completely free running, and there is no undue drag there.
@@mikebiggs6632 Only one thing left then, the motor is no good
If you haven't already try removing the front bogie and checking that the chassis doesn't buldge downward. This is a common problem with these models and it drastically increases the resistance. If you have ran the model a fair bit you may also see scratches on the chassis where the wheels have been rubbing against it. If you find this to be the case, I know how to fix it.
I will check again but first impressions suggest this is not the case.
What search terms were you using when you found this camera? I can't seem to find anything but the round ones which are too big.

Drivers eye view, very good, i did one a few years ago you have inspired me to do another. What sort of camera do you use?
It's a pocket camera I purchased from Aliexpress and has been quite good. More importantly, it fits on a flat wagon and passes all other trains and fits through all tunnel entrances.

Which juicer did you use. Im looking to automare and eliminate the need for the 4pdt on the sl e383f. Any help appreciated
Thanks for commenting. I used the Dual Frog Juicer for DCC. Just look it up on Google. I used to have a manual 4 pole switch but needed something to be able to automate it.

Thanks. I'm recovering. I enjoy using iTrain, and it certainly simplifies operating my layout on my own. Although I do run it manually sometimes with my wife, who drives the trains whilst I operate the routes. 👍

Not every session runs as smoothly as I would like. The 1st class coach decided to jump off the tracks at every opportunity it could 🙄 After a lot of investigation, I decided to add weight to it, which has helped.
It's a 1080P audio video camera that I purchased from AliExpress. It works really well fits all my layout without colliding. 😊 Video quality seems good. I have it mounted on a container flatcar.

How have I managed to miss your layout ? Definitely an interesting track plan which works well with i trains. Is it a bit of a nightmare to run manually ?
Thanks, Mark. To manually change all the points and remember to do that is quite a task but not impossible. To try and do it with 4 trains running simultaneously is impossible!! 😊
Great to see. Are you using automatic routes without a route?
In this particular session, the trains are running specific routes. Each train, in turn, triggers another route and so on.
Thanks. Not perfect going to use Mx30 on track. Still have few issues with the 37 and 57 going to put stay alives in them soon. Makes all the difference. Also the odd point routing problem and older wagons with dodgy couplings. 😊

Ok - as an Avid dc operator IDL to Admit it but I’m Verry impressed with this. Excellent back to back Running and No Visible Glitches. Awesome 🙌🏻👍🏻✨
@donniblanco5239 It is working very well. Having said that, I'm having to replace a left hand point at the rear of the layout because it has just failed. 😞 I do have to point out that these turnouts have been in place for more than 20 years now. So, it's not too bad. I upgraded to iTrain last year (2022) and finally had it all working this summer.
