When it got popular $20 to get in $100.00 for new years parties that went to 5am in the morning, instead of parking in the neighborhoods, I just paid VIP parking ,well worth it
AH YES MOTOR DETROIT, $5 to get in at the start , Hot Ladies from the Metro Area and Canada to see, live on the Radio on Friday Nite on 89x CKLW, Resident DJ BONE, super kid Adriel on the house mic a weekend full of enjoyment of fun $20 for new years party, finally a place for all tech-heads and music lovers to enjoy even had a chill out lounge, miss that place off of Caniff in Hamtramck, that fun time went so fast🥲🥲☺☺☺
I didn't go until 2000, but heard 89x Maximum Overload just 2 years before 300 miles away! Tuned in every Friday night RELIGIOUSLY to have my own dance party, in my room in the small town I lived in. It changed my life, forever ❤❤❤❤😂😊😊

Man I miss this place... it changed my way of looking at nightlife. I went from thinking "how can you have a party that's not in a warehouse" to " let's go to Motor, it'll be dope."
Motor. Long live the 90s. I was a fixture in that place from the time it opened until 99. We were the originals. Best days and nights of my life. After 99 it was all kids with sucker rings and light sticks. Although, those things weren’t allowed in there at one point. It started to die when the age limit changed from 21 to 18. We all moved on shortly after that. Even going there to catch a certain DJ just wasn’t the same. That place really peaked in 98. It was fucking electric. Alive. I’ll never forget it.

This was and always will be my club!! Every Friday I would come here with my crew hearing the best underground Detroit style techno from the best world class DJ's ever!! Going back to the summer of 1997 in my early 20s was the best time Ive ever had at 3515 Caniff Ave aka Motor Lounge!!

Whats is most curious is that although she is half brazilian, she speaks way better spanish than portuguese. This might seem not much, but it is incredibly hard for brazilians to speak good level spanish (the similarities in the languages make it really hard).
