It was quite common for cruise ships to not have enough life boats for all passengers back then, because the life boats were not designed for long-term survival out in the open sea.... they were designed to ferry passengers from a sinking ship to another ship, so they were meant to go back and forth. Traffic in the oceans back then was pretty dense, so it was thought that any ship in trouble would have help fairly quickly. There was actually a ship that could have gotten to the Titanic before the Lisutania did, but it's wireless operator had shut off for the night and wasn't awake to receive the distress call. There were two officers in charge of filling the lifeboats... one of them strictly only allowing women and children (Mr. Lightoller), and the other allowing men to board if no women or children were present (Mr. Murdoch). Also, I always have to point this out: Early in the film Cal said to Jack: "How dare you put your hands on MY fiance!" Then later in the back of the car, Rose says: "Put your hands on me, Jack." Epic eff you to Cal and her mother! If you want to learn more about Titanic, I suggest a channel called Oceanliner Designs who goes into great detail about the construction of the ship, the events of that night, misconceptions about the disaster, etc. He's an AMAZING source of information and I found myself going down a rabbit hole when I came across him, and not JUST with the Titanic.

Funnily enough, the live action reference for Tramp was a female.

The older classic Disney animated movies were all made with a passion for artistic story telling. I think you would love them all.

🐶👍 This was Disney's very first animated film to feature an A-list celebrity providing one of the voices. The voice of "Peg" (at 18:55) is singer/actress Peggy Lee, who was a major star at the time. She even had a hand in writing the "He's A Tramp" song that she sings. Needless to say, this was a major harbinger of what was to come several decades later. Now, the concept of releasing an animated feature WITHOUT and major celebrity voices is pretty much unheard of. 🐕 If you enjoyed this, then you will definitely also enjoy the original "101 Dalmatians" (1961).

I can't believe you've never seen it :O It's a one my favourites. Beautiful music and of course hand drawn animations. The CGI version was a massive disappointment along with Lion King, Dumbo, Jungle Book and Pinocchio. Seriously Disney, just leave these classics ALONE! And now they're using or planning to use AI?? Shame on them :(

Great reaction bravo for watching an older movie because it’s old doesn’t mean it’s not good I like part of the movie when I was little I don’t know why they put the warning in the front of the movie because they use the word tramp which what which used to be a word for a stray male dog but this sounds like it’s a guy that gets around with the ladies and I think this song can be culturally. I don’t know because siam doesn’t exist anymore doesn’t exist anymore. That’s an old name for another country. I think it’s now I think it’s Taipei or Myanmar one of those but there’s still Siamese cats though they still call them that don’t think about they totally cut out the song from the cats from the original movie was the cute song for The to get out cause I guess with the accent racist I guess not everything should be racist. It wasn’t meant to be mean it did things kids don’t know what’s wrong with it. I don’t know but whatever I guess it didn’t matter. Thanks for the fun until next time.

UNSINKABLE? BLAME THE MEDIA!!! The term "unsinkable" came from REPORTERS of the time and NOT the White Star Line!!! The White Star Line NEVER claimed Titanic was unsinkable!!! After it sunk the MEDIA, like it does today, ran away with the "unsinkable" part TO SELL PAPERS!!! NO officials EVER claimed it was unsinkable. And because of media, people today STILL say it was unsinkable! The sad news is that even today's Titanic "experts" don't even KNOW the fact that it was reporters and not the owners of the Titanic that called it unsinkable!!!

Fun fact. Hitler is played by the same actor that played Admiral Ozzel in Star Wars Empire Strikes Back. Donovans actor played General Veers that lead the attack on the ground at Hoth, also in Empire. He also played the villain in James Bond, For your eyes only. Interesting detail is that Donovan shoot Henry Jones senior, Sean Connery who played Bond with a Walther PPK, same model that Bond use so technically James Bond were shot with his own gun.

This was BY FAR the worst one of the original trilogy.
