Currently making a little pair for a little girl in my life. The online instructions for the waist band had me a little confused as a first time garment maker but your tutorial was very clear! Too cute!

Always enjoy your vlogs and love the fact that your sewing time is more realistic and reflects how a lot of us sew - it's a hobby we fit into our lives and not about constantly having to make the latest pattern release. Thanks for sharing with us 😊

Yes I watched baby reindeer and it was eye opening and showed that this kind of thing can happen to a male as well as a female. I think it was really well filmed and kept me hooked, so I also binge watched it. I then watched spoiler alert with Jim parsons, also a true story, beautiful and sad, had me in tears. Love your makes, love your chat, been with you for years, so very happy when you came back from the long break and am very happy whenever you pop up. Like an old friend. 😘😘

I always love watching your videos. You are very real and I love that. Our kids are kind of...around the same age. Mine are 11 and almost 9. So same issues with Tillys new book. I felt the same. I was quite interested to hear about Baby Reindeer. I went to watch it and lost interested after the first few minutes but I'm thinking I might give it another go. It was nice to see you again. I didn’t realize that it was so long since you did the last vlog. I guess we all get busy. Don’t worry about the time between them. Many of us are fairly busy and it’s nice to see you now and again rather than never to see you. I know some people sew a lot of clothes and I wonder how they can afford it and how much they wear.

I bought the book The Fox, the Bear and the Hound (think that's the name) because I liked the coat you made for your son from that book. Our only child is 38 so no young kids but I thought that soon we would have grand children.

Sounds like a great bargain haul, I love the bits in Home Bargains too. With the labels, are they big enough to sew them into a loop then put them in the back of a garment the right way up perhaps? And I'm totally with you for an easy sew with a video to follow along, I've downloaded Sally's pattern too :)

The shorts are so cute! McCalls 7931 is a nice bias skirt. Mimi G also has a tutorial sewing it and some really good tips about sewing on the bias. 🪡👗🧵🥰

The DIBY wearable blanket pattern is free and should work well with the teady fabric. Pound fabrics have a good range of softshell, I recently made a coat with some so can recommend it.

😂 l bought a bias cut skirt too M & S £35 l thought I should make it. Bought McCall's M7931 which has a zip and Mimi G had a sew along which has turned out okay for first toile and also bought Style Arc Genoa Bias Skirt which l've tried but need to tweak a bit to get the waistband fitting better. A sew the spring trends would be fab but only if you have the time! It's lovely to see you so far every Friday 💜

I believe Staystitch pattern co has a skirt pattern just like that!

The shorts are so cute! I use that method for attaching waist bands to trousers. It’s easier to top stitch without the need to catch the folded edge of the inside of the garment. And yes you are entitled to fabric shopping for using your stash. Happy sewing!

I just made a DIBY wearable blanket waterproof for my nephew. I talk about it a bit on last week's Friday sews. I lined it with a fleece blanket . He's delighted at 6 ft 5 the long length of the small just needed length added to the arms (I have an original dry robe that's about 10 years old so haven't made one for me). Shout if you need any more info ! So lovely to see you back on here! 😊

Today is the first time I have heard the mention that you do music? As a professional musician that loves to sew, please mention more about it :) Do you sew for gigs? I have to do everything in black, and to blend in , so not too exciting for sewing, but I can choose what makes me comfortable for concerts.
