I just got an offer to study a Masters by Research program at the Roehampton University London, UK. I contacted the school to be sure about coming with my dependents and they referred me to the immigration team which I did. The immigration team clearly told me that the research masters programs are level 7 and not level 8 hence doesn't allow me come with dependants. Only an Mphil or a PhD qualifies you to go to the UK with your dependants. Masters by Research wouldn't.
