I couldnt believe the comment "this stuff is so cool" regarding the carcinomas as it is incredibly inappropriate. Many people will be looking this stuff up because they or their loved ones have these conditions. In which case this stuff is certainly not "so cool". Please consider your audience more carefully! I just got diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma in My Cervix with some iliac Lymphnode involvement on my left side a few weeks ago. I am going to be starting Radiation/Chemo in a month for 6 weeks 5 days Radiation 1 day a week fir Chemo. Because of the Lymphnode involvement I was not able to get a Radical Hysterectomy so I am kind of bummed out about that. Ladies don't skip out on getting your yearly pap smear's especially if you have HPV! I stupidly didn't go to my Gynecologist for 7yrs so I am very greatful it is only at a stage 2! I had a Paraguard IUD in that I thought was causing all of my symptoms but nope it is Stage 2 Squamous cell carcinoma! 🥺🩵

I have a small area of basal cell on the back of my head, about the size of a fingernail. It’s to be surgically removed but, due to the location, the wound can’t be closed. So he has to take a piece of skin from the other side and stitch it in. He then has to make a cut between both areas and pull the skin up. It’s going to leave a scar. I thought it was just a tiny pimple and left it too long. Please see a doctor immediately if you suspect something.

hi,my 94 year old father has had many bcc scc sites removed from his hands arms face over the years different dermatologists have removed them by surgery and freezing, all the previous dermatologists would remove 1/2/3 at a time because of his age, they all clearly said, sir your 94 lets be conserative on your treatment we will remove 2 maybe 3 sites, then come back in several months and we can remove a couple more ,that worked great for many years, but the last doctor wanted to remove 6 sites plus freeze another 10 sites, but i stopped this doctor from doing that much at once, i was afraid of that many open wounds would be just to much and allow infection in, since then the sites this dermatologist wanted to remove have"nt grown or changed in any way,,was i wrong by not letting this doctor remove that many at once,we did a follow up with a different dermatoogist recently and they agreed with me there is no reason to remove 6 at one time and freeze that many more, especially at his age So he removed 2 and rescheduled us 6 months to remove a couple more,So are my worries about possible infection from too many open wounds founded or am i just being a worry wart ,,no punn intended,,thank you

I tend to grow many squamous cell carcinomas. I’ve long ago lost track.. I was a pasty white pale kid in the years before sunscreens. I became a sun worshipper as an adult until my skin was ruined. I very suddenly developed a swollen lymph node in my axilla in 206. It was diagnosed as a metastatic squamous cell carcinoma that had come from a lesion that was treated in 2009. I ended up having extensive lymph nodes removed from that axilla and May from above my clavicle. Most were no longer encapsulated. I had extensive surgery by two different surgeons at a university hospital and subsequent chemo and radiation. It was brutal but I am still here at 73 years old. I can’t change the deep burns of my childhood or those as an adult but I absolutely avoid the sun and use good sunscreen daily.

I finally told my primary doctor about it and he cut it out right in his office. He got all of it out in one attempt and told me he figured it was cancer when I mentioned that the crust would fall off and then grow back. This was way back in 2002-I was fifty years old then.
