I was at this match. Had a season ticket for the upper deck of the then-brand spanking new Rous (now Graham Taylor) stand.

Mark Kinsella summed it up Charlton were relegated that season because of their home form Southampton were poor away but at home they were very good after they lost to Chelsea on Boxing Day they were unbeaten at home for the remainder of the season W7 D2. Charlton hadn't won at home since Keith Jones scored the winner against Liverpool in February that season that was the difference.
