I loved all of loved ALL of it! Thanks for the pictures of Mr. Hewitt. I loved every minute that I spent with the band 1968-70. Hewitt was a showman and taught me so much. Those were probably the best years of my life. glad for the pics of Band day. Wish more pics showed the years. Nianne Hines

Good job guys, actually LOVED the unforgiven sections!! Just thought you could have transitioned into enter sandman a little more musically than just a stop start... and not play it from it from the beginning riff like every other band has? Maybe find a common transition point between enter sandman and unforgiven (either same key/chords or lyrical theme or speed in the song - the slow part in enter sandman perhaps?) and go back and forth between those for the 2 times you go between the songs? Your unforgiven parts were extremely well done and unique (havent seen any other colleges use them so far), and the song lends itself to brass with the storytelling ballad feel. Otherwise, great job!

I don't know of any other collegiate band program that had to literally rise from the ashes in its long history. I am the Music Teacher I am today (albeit Elementary not Secondary) in no small part due to this Band Program and the lessons instilled by Dr. Tracz and all the Assistant Directors throughout the years.

Our son had the honor to play in the K-STATE MARCHING BAND. Thank you for teaching him discipline so he could be successful in life. You have had a positive influence on thousands throughout your tenure as Director. 😊

Congrats on the new band hall. I'll stop by if I'm ever that far north!

The Pride does it again. What a fantastic performance. Congrats to those wonderful kids and i'm sure the folks at the stadium were left with goosebumps.

The collective screaming of the crowd around the 8 minute mark? My ears were ringing for so long afterwards. Those kids ate that up, y'all. :) Great work!

My band director is an alumni at kstate, so couple weeks before this video was posted, a small group of my high school band was able to go there and we were able to see them have a rehearsal. The part that we got to saw rehearsed was at 3:45

this makes me want to go to state even more than I wanted to before, I can't wait until a couple more years
