  • @TrinitarianPentecostalNectar

Pentecostalism is a reconnecting to the foundational apostolic faith in the book of Acts and following through on the command of our Lord in Acts 1.

  • @TrinitarianPentecostalNectar

Scriptures must be read by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. That is the Pentecostal position.

  • @TrinitarianPentecostalNectar

Pentecostals believe Glorification is Sanctification completed. Sanctification is Glorification begun by the power of the Holy Spirit forming us into Christ’s image. Being made partakers of the Divine nature. We also believe in the fivefold ministry (ascension gifts) Apostles Prophets Pastors Evangelists Teachers Ephesians 4

  • @TrinitarianPentecostalNectar

With respect your reference to Pentecostalism is quite shallow and unlearned.

  • @TrinitarianPentecostalNectar

The Calvinistic system is a grid that is placed over Holy Scripture and twists the Gospel.

0:35 A Saint is Holy, Not like anything else. 0:51 A Saint is always conscious of being a sinner. And never feels he or she has attained, but constantly presses forward to the constant spiritual goal. 1:14 Sinners who think they are Saints + Saints who know they are Sinners 1:34 Saints are forgiven sinners living out their lives in the forgiveness God has given them. 2:09 Lets God’s Light Shine Through ☀️🔥💡 2:42 Like Planets 🪐 and The Earth’s Moon 🌕 which reflects The Sunlight ☀️ Saints reflect The Son ☦️ 3:12 Role Models of Virtue. Intercessors. 3:25 who can be a Saint? Every Baptized Orthodox Christian is called to be a Saint. 4:25 Simple Discipleship: A Saint in the making. 5:16 Every Christian, whom sin has not separated from God, in a normal way. Saintliness is therefore a normal state! And the call to Saintliness is addressed to all of us, and yet there are special Saintly faith models. + Appreciate them + Honor them + Seek their intercessions on our behalf 6:02 The Church, Inspired by The Holy Spirit, recognizes Saints. ⛪️🙏🏼❤️ 6:47 Categories of Saint ☦️ 7:14 + Forefathers + Fathers + Patriarchs + Prophets + Apostles + Preachers + Evangelists + Martyrs + Confessors + Ascetics + and for every righteous spirit in Faith made perfect.

I am coming to Orthodox Christianity from a rather non-typical place - having been born into a family that has been Mormon for over 100 years. I further live in a spot in the world where any access at all to learning is most difficult - with the closest Orthodox congregation of any size at all almost 100 miles each way from me. I went through so many phases, so much argument as a Mormon and then as an agnostic and then an atheist, even from the earliest days of the internet arguments on chat boards in the early 1990s - including a wonderful chat with an Orthodox Priest finishing university in Greece before entering life under monastic rules. He was nothing but kind, we shared kindly - and his seeds are bearing fruit almost 40 years later. So I appreciate the message here - I am still learning, but I am familiar enough with the rancor online and the dangers of falling into one pit or another. Finding a truth - real or not - and latching onto it so hard that it becomes "our truth" and becoming very harsh toward those who do not see it as we do. I suppose I am far past the age for doing that. I know that people will come to truth in many ways. I am reminded of Leo Szilard who discovered the process of nuclear chain reaction - which changed the world - by watching a changing traffic signal one day. Some may come to truth for the first time in all sorts of ways - including me all those years ago on a chat board. But - just the opinion of someone new - but I think sometimes we can become the very stony ground or thorns upon which the seeds of the sower are lost in the Lord's parable. God is rather patient with us - perhaps we might show our fellows something of that patience as well even when we might see error.

This was really good, thank you, Father, I am better understanding the Passions like I have never really paid a lot of attention to before, and I really want to bring into consciousness all that I need to clean up. After hearing more and more of this discussion has really helped me, and I appreciate all this so much. I identify myself in some of these scenarios, and it is good to hear discussion like this with others. Thank you, very much. "Praise be to God under all conditions."

I’d like to hear more on the Logos remaining what he was while becoming what he wasn’t simultaneously or being at the right hand of the Father while on earth. I know this is a great mystery and as he felt abandoned on the cross. In his human nature, It’s so wonderful our faith and how the Son looks for us his creatures or brothers and sisters as it were for the sake of the Glory of the Father and his goodness and mercy. Praise be to the great God.

Seems like he wanted to use the word hostage but decided not to. Keeping your mind imprisoned in your thoughts is a great way of saying it. I really struggle w/ emotions, & my mind is definitely imprisoned in my thoughts. Guess I need to have more faith & trust. Suffering is getting old. My negative thoughts are getting old too. I need to follow this advice.

Christ is quoted in the Gospel as saying that divorce is permissible in the case of adultery. Paul says in 1 Corinthians that if an unbelieving spouse abandons you then you a not bound in such circumstances. However, neither of them say if remarriage is permissible in such circumstances. Surely if you have been abandoned or cheated on by your spouse it would be reasonable to remarry without it effecting one's salvation? Please clarify.
