How To Disassemble An LED Mag-Lite

This video describes how to disassemble newer (post ~2010) D-cell Mag-Lites (2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 cell). I believe the process is the same for C-cell Mag-Lites. The newer flashlights from Mag-Lite require a different driver than older models to remove the switch assembly. This works for the newer LED models too. Tools needed: Torx #8 driver, electric powered grinder (such as a Dremel), safety glasses.

So I usually carry Thermorest repair patch kit with me on trips Incase I get a leak. And I have wondered if it would also double as a repair for my rain gear. So I had a hole in my rain pants and decided to try it out. It works similar to Tenacious Tape but if you end up with this as your only option, now you know it will work.

Quick fix for squeaking box springs remove cardboard

If you have a squeaking box springs it may be due to a layer of cardboard on the top of the box springs. One solution is to glue all the edges of the cardboard as demonstrated in this video by Kungfumaintenance czcams.com/video/0YIzMPil138/video.html. Or you can just cut out the old cardboard. It's not necessary, it is only for aesthetics.

Worked for me thanks I’m happy Now
It worked perfectly for me but it literally took forever to scratch and claw out all of the cardboard and my knife wasn't sharp enough but still managed to remove all of the nuisance. The only sound left to fix is the fact that I don't have all of the bolts screwed in to the headboard and that at least two are missing from each side. I'm just glad it doesn't squeak anymore and not as bad but the only slight squeaking left is from the stupid headboard.
Is there any problems with this? The cardboard must be there for a reason.

I had been suffering for 2 weeks of restless nights and I had new mattresses so I cut it out and perfect thank you
so easy and worked like a charm! had tried other methods before and worked for a little while but then would squeak again. thank you!
There is still some squeak (you can hear it when he's bouncing on it). I'm sure it's much better than it was though. My brand new bedding has this problem. I have never had this with any mattress set before. Guess manufacturers are going the cheap route.

I removed my card board but the wood is still squeaking. Any suggestions?
This is an old comment, but i'll reply by suggesting that anyone who still has squeaking secure the wood where it connects by using screws (not nails) to pull loose parts together. The squeaking is the wood moving and rubbing together. No moving, no squeaking.
Wish I found this video long ago. Decided I had enough today and removed it on a whim after lubricating some slats. Great tip in general!
