Struggle to find the words my emotions are aplenty.
Such a shock what happened to Keith in the end. The sad irony is that even with his physical ailments he could probably still outdo most players out there. His composing and electronic skills had to still fit in somewhere. Anyone remember the music from super Mario brothers 2. My kids had it and I’m pretty sure Keith did the music. It was publicized at the time.
"Keith Anderson"!!!!!!! 😄
Operation yew tree....
I was just thinking, I wonder what sir Elton John thinks of him? can I get a response if anyone knows
They might not have been very big back then, but they became giant.
I see what you did there.
Well now, I guess Derek got more than his share of pu$$y in the day. You never think of prog musicians that way. Such a wealth of material documented from the people that eventually formed the legendary GG.
Under under under appreciated!! He spawned legions of trippy guitarists! Hell, Ozric Tentacles have made a career off of the teachings of Brother Hillage!!
fucking ace!
Wonderful music!
Carl didn.t get any credits.
Saw Hillage twice at the Glasgow Apollo back in the 70's. Happy Hippy Days.....
HOLD THE PHONE. CZcams just algorithmed this on me. I figured that Mr. Emerson was familiar with Mr. Peterson’s material… but they met!? AND PLAYED TOGETHER!? 🤯🎹 And this is the only time that I’ve seen Mr. Emerson perform without acting like he owned the show. Wow. 😮
My dad was a drummer and he would have loved this, sadly he passed in late 1979.
Truly transcental Daddy-0!!
Hørte dem i 1974 eller 75 på Stakladen i Aarhus, hvor de var opvarmningsband til Fairport Convetntion.
Stiff vs Smooth as Silk.
thank you!! i saw the other one and searched for a better quality version just in case and found this
I bet most of those girls now would be in their 70s 😂
"You're more likely to be John Otway than The Beatles, but Otway's still on tour, hats off to show people." - FTHC
I heard THE THREE FATES back in 1970 (71?) and ATTEMPTED to describe the music to people - unsuccessfully, of course. I only heard the music; didn't know who or what it was. It drove me NUTS. When I finally found out what it was, I bought the album, post-haste. I still contend that this was his best. His following two albums were also great. I never could, however, figure out how much of his works were original, and how much were derivative. It kinda DIDN'T MATTER; he made the music his own. GENIUS. R.I.P.
Nico's look is so hardcore for the time. I wonder if the Costume Designer or even Stephen King thought of Nico when deciding on Piper Laurie's look in the film 'Carrie'?
Smoking in the audience... wow
Was he really just 18 yo here, he looked a lot older? Three girls force their way into his van, how many of these groupies as well as all the others got pregnant?
@ 23-35.....as I thought! 🤣🤣🤣
Sara Pascoe said her mom was a groupie.
O and B tried to sell me a pre order of their first album at Tring Folk Club (1973 I think) but I didn't have any money (I told them). I bought it later (plain sleeve with a stuck on label). Been a fan ever since!
Keith Emerson trop fort! Et Carl Palmer à la batterie juste à côté. J'aurai aimé joué comme eux...
Hail to power and to the Raver's ways!
Um hello?!...these are underage girls here, it's sickening to watch
Palmer is not in the credits ¿?
Why did they de-tune the piano? Sounds hideous!
To sound like an old honkey tonk bar piano
Clive Langer on organ
This clip haunts me. Why didn't Keith play Take a Pebble, or one of his other masterpieces???
I'm thinking because it was a Jazz oriented show maybe?
Sean Carroll mentioned this on YT, so here I am, and I've got tears in my eyes. I briefly met Oscar, but I befriended Keith a couple years before the end. This recording is really special. It is the first I've seen the crane setup he used to do live. But to see him as nervous as I was to meet him while meeting Oscar really touched my heart. They're both monsters in their own right. They both changed my life for the better, as I wouldn't be where I am without them. They'll be missed Gr8! Peace ☮💜Love
Nobody mentions The Nice! Before ELP came The Nice and they were the hot live band of the 60s. Just great on stage. I seen them everywhere and ELP didn't quite compare for me. Check out 'Hang on to a dream' at the Beat club and listen to 'Rondo 69' in New York. RIP Keith, a great loss.
What a pity this gig was cut short, it was the Stranglers at their best. Great footage!
Stupefacentemente 🌈
ECKTASY
Definitely, the world is becoming boring.
2/3 of ELP
Keith’s autobiography features some recollections of appearing with Oscar. He tells a few tales about it and didn’t seem too impressed by the whole experience.
Helmet~
There's always that musician you haven't heard about
My sick mind, what truly excellent harmonies. This band are revolutionary
Fabulous
ELP sure was great
Keeping up with either of them was a handful i‘m sure . God Bless them both
It's A Yes Song
This was from Canada, i take it? WOW! Hey, what's going on up there?!
she never died
The drummer's trousers are so cool!.
